Michigan State Police located and arrested a man wanted in Indiana on Friday, Aug. 21, 2026, at a home in Mount Pleasant.

Troopers said a search warrant was executed that morning at a residence in the 3600 block of E. Deerfield Road, near the Lexington Ridge apartment complex. The search turned up firearms and ammunition.

“Detectives are seeking local charges against a second individual who was present at the residence,” Michigan State Police said. “The names of those involved are being withheld at this time, as formal charges have not yet been authorized and the individuals have not been arraigned.”

The investigation is ongoing. The suspect will be extradited to Indiana.

On-scene assistance was provided by the Mount Pleasant Police Department, Central Michigan University Police Department, Mid-Michigan Investigative Narcotics Team and Grand Rapids Police Department.
