On January 16, 2024, Sheila Ann Johnson met with her eternal home, 4 months shy of her 70th birthday. The 4th child of Leon Francis and Virginia May (Fairbrother) Johnson, Sheila grew as three more children were added to the family. She gained three more siblings after her second mom, Sarah Rose, entered in her life.
Sheila developed into a very loving and patient woman who had a deep understanding of nature. Her happiest moments were spent with family, playing cards or helping her neighbors when she could. Enjoying her quiet, Sheila’s patience was fostered with her plastic canvas art, creating baubles and trinkets for friends and family, gifts to be cherished throughout the years. She truly appreciated any time spent with her many siblings.
Sheila gratefully bore her two children, David and Joyce, loving and raising them as she was able. They and her grandchildren became her joy and she supported them in all their activities, attending sporting events or school programs. The passing of her parents and some of her siblings count among Sheila’s great losses that she endured throughout her life. Her family continued to be her bright light carrying her through. With sadness, Sheila will be missed.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Leon and Virginia; Siblings: Shirley Narloch, Kathy Schoner, Mary King, and Leon “Butch” Johnson.
Left to carry on her memory are her second mother, Sarah Rose (Bill) McKenna; son, David (Jamie) Human; daughter, Joyce Brousseau; grandchildren, Ashley Doll, Katelynn Kain, Alison Bartlett, Emily Brousseau, David Human, Joyce Human, and Hunter Human; great-grandchild, Cooper Human, and siblings, Al Johnson, Bob Johnson, Sam Johnson, Sue Fales, and Fran Lehnert.
Services will be held at Janowicz Family Funeral Home – Remus on Saturday, January 20th, at 11:00 am with Jeremiah Johnson officiating. A viewing will be held at the funeral home Friday evening from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and again the morning of the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
