James R. Belleville Sr., left the bonds of this earth, on Monday July 22, 2024, at his home in Evart, surrounded by his family. He was 77.

He was born on May 14, 1947 at Reed City Hospital to Loy and Alma (Marsh) Belleville. James was a 1965, Evart High School graduate. James married Catherine Kailing in Evart in 1966 where they made their home and raised their family.

When he was able James loved: hunting, fishing, target shooting, and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed bonfires up until his passing. James and his wife owned and operated Belleville Daycare, in their home, for many years and was the first licensed daycare in Osceola County.

James is survived by: his wife, Catherine; two sons, James (Rebecca) Belleville, Jeff (Tammy) Belleville all of Evart, MI; Grandchildren, Natalie of Colman, MI, Brooke (Jasiah) Scott of Farwell, MI, Seth of Hersey, MI, Nolan of Evart, MI, Garth of Lake, MI, Garrett Daggy of Evart, MI; one brother, Wesley (Susan) Belleville of Columbia City, IN; many nieces and nephews, great-grandchildren and friends.

James was preceded in death by: his parents, one daughter, Michele Daggy, four sisters, Jeannine (Glen) Dickinson, Eileen (Earl) Scott, Edna (Bill) Milligan and Sherry Belleville. He will be missed and loved by many.

A life celebration will be held August 18th at the Evart VFW Hall from 2PM to 5PM, until that time those wishing to pay there respects are welcome to stop by the house and visit.
