Dianna Lynn Bennett, 79, of Mecosta

Dianna Lynn Bennett, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on November 29, 1944, to Lloyd and Catherine Bartholomew, Dianna grew up as an only child, surrounded by the love and care of her devoted parents.
In 1973, Dianna married the love of her life, Richard Bennett, on February 23. Together, they welcomed their son, Jim, who brought immense joy and pride to their lives. Dianna was a dedicated and loving mother, always putting her family first and ensuring that their home was filled with warmth and happiness.
Dianna was a hardworking and respected member of her community. She owned and operated Fairman’s in Mecosta, where her presence was a constant source of comfort and friendship to those around her. Her commitment to her community extended beyond her business, as she also served as a member of the EMS and rescue team in Mecosta County, where her caring nature and quick thinking saved many lives.
Her career was diverse and accomplished. Dianna worked for many years as a potato tester at Sackett Potatoes and worked at Evart Products, where her dedication and work ethic were admired by all who knew her. Dianna’s great sense of humor and strong will made her a beloved colleague and friend to many.
Above all, Dianna was a devoted family woman. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, Alexis West and Tidus Hewlett, and was overjoyed to welcome her great-grandchild, Cassus Norton, into the world. Dianna’s love for her family knew no bounds, and she took great pride in nurturing and caring for them.
Dianna is survived by her loving husband, Richard; her son, Jim, and his wife, Helga Hewlett; her grandchildren, Alexis West and Tidus Hewlett; and her great-grandchild, Cassus Norton. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at a later date to honor Dianna’s life and legacy. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit and love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
