Mary Dora Kempher, age 80, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2024, in Grandville, MI. Born on August 19, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, Mary was the daughter of Maynard and Anna (Ross) Luginbuhl. 

Mary was a warm-hearted woman, known for her kindness and generosity. With a heart as good as gold, she touched the lives of everyone she met. She loved spending her time crocheting beautiful creations, playing games, and enjoying card games with her family and friends. 

Mary is survived by her children, Anthony Kempher, Doren (MaryAnn) Kempher, Tammy (Wesley) Groce, Patrick (Andrea) Kempher, Charles (Lonnie) Burkett-Kempher, Marco Kempher (Brandi), Dora Hanson, and Donald (Yvonne) Kempher; her sister Corinne (Steve) Manning; brothers Randy (Marie) Galczak, Walter (Bobbie) Galczak, and Johnny Galczak. She was also blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George Kempher Sr., and her son George Kempher Jr. 

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held on October 5, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Northend Riverside Park in Big Rapids. Family and friends are invited to gather and remember the beautiful life she lived. 

Her love, warmth, and presence will be missed by all who knew her.
