Kendall Royce Andrews, 94, of Reed City passed away peacefully to his Eternal Home on November 6, 2024, surrounded by family at the Meceola Currie Comfort Home in Reed City.
He was born on May 13, 1930, to Leroy and Leona (Ryder) Andrews in Flint, Michigan and served his country for two years in the Korean War from 1951-53. He held various jobs until 1980 when Ken and his wife Sally started their own travel tour operation, Salken Travel Tours, and enjoyed 25+ years of business. Ken enjoyed his dog Buddy, watching birds, driving his Amish friends, and fighting off the neighborhood squirrels who found his bird feeders.
He is survived by his wife, Sally J. miller Cook Andrews of 37 years; 6 children: Larry (Linda) Andrews of Davison, Gary (Susan) Andrews of Huntley, IL, Sally (Chris) Cutler of Imlay City, Jean (Steve) Hoag of Flint; 2 step-sons: John (Rodnie) Cook of Reed City, and Clark (Lori) Cook of Ortonville; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren: Michael (Melissa) Andrews & Aeson, Tyler, & Alex; Katherine Andrews: Anastasia Andrews; Cara (T.J.) Carter & Claire; Craig (Janna) Cutler & Camille and Clara; Emily (David) Brockway & Lukas; Philip (Meghan) Mitchell & Mabel; Elizabeth Mitchell, Rebecca Mitchell; Katie Cook, Jamie (Troy) Wilson & Lucas, Kase, and Baylor; Chelsea (Josh) Pinho; Morgan Cook; Alexandra (Aaron) Thompson & Lyla; Quinton (Grace) Cook & Elizabeth; Nathan (Amanda) Cook.
Ken is also survived by his sister Carol (Wayne) Moss of Birch Run and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Leona Andrews, son Ronnie Andrews, two brothers, Duane and Don; and sister Marilyn Stockton.
A Memorial Service of Celebration took place Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Davison Free Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 11:00 A.M. and services beginning at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow at the Seymour Lake Cemetery in Oxford, MI.
