Diane Louise Boyer, age 72 of Big Rapids, Michigan, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2024. 

Diane was born on January 3, 1952, to the late Harold James Bellisle and Mary Pauline Meek in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  Diane graduated from high school and went on to study Social Work at Ferris State University. 

After graduating with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Social Work (BSW), she started her first job at the Department of Social Services in Reed City as a children's protective services worker; kick starting a 5 year career in servicing and caring for the children before moving to working for Hospice of Michigan for another 5 years only retiring from the field she loved in 2002.  

During her retirement, Diane loved spending her time with her kids and grandkids, fishing, lunch/dinner dates, many road trips, playing Euchre and Rummy, camping, gardening, canning, actively involved with her grandchildren activities, and was active with the card ministry for Living Waters Fellowship.

Diane went on to have three children: Patricia Mary Louise Boyer, Christine Marie Zeigler (Melvin Jr.), Roger Arnold Boyer II (Stephanie M. Boyer and ex-wife Tammy C. Boyer) who she was very proud of and loved deeply. 

She is survived by her eight grandchildren: Alicia Marie Zeigler, Makayla Mary Louise Boyer, Joshua Allen Zeigler, Noeh Tobias Boyer, Harmony Lynn Louise Boyer, Emily Hope Cherise Boyer, Haydn Elizabeth Charlotte Boyer, Sophia Honor Marie Boyer; three great grandchildren:

Brayden Allen Zeigler, Savannah Mae Grandowicz, Baby Boy Zeigler expected on April 19, 2025; siblings: David Bellisle, Maralene Smario, Thomas Bellilse (Deborah), Timothy Bellisle (the late Josie), Paul Meek (Heidi), Sandy Buell (Timothy), Cora Schreiner (Larry); and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly; and her best friends Kathy Burgy and Sue Sims.  Diane was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents James T. and Mary Louise Belisle and maternal grandparents James Victor and Mary Olivia Davis.

A Celebration of her Life services will take place at 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 29, 2024, at the Pruitt Livingston Funeral Home in Reed City, visitation with the family will begin at 9:00 A.M.  In a private graveside service, Diane will be laid to rest next to her late father at the Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park South, 3941 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008. 

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial contributions in her name may be made to Heartland Hospice or to the Wise Woman's Shelter, Diane felt very strongly about these two organizations.
