Leonard Glen Knapp of Leroy, Michigan passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Leaving behind a life that was a beautiful tapestry of love, service and kindness.
He was 85 years old, born on December 9, 1939, in Leroy, Michigan to Glenn and Edna (Backstrom) Knapp. Leonard's life was a testament to faith, family and community. His parents, along with his sister Emily Nebozney, preceded him in death. As a loving family man, Leonard's devotion and generosity will forever be remembered. His community will deeply miss his presence, but his legacy will continue to uplift and inspire.
Surviving him are sisters Dorothy Marsh and Violet Dickerson; his children Rhonda (Ernie) Powers, Robert (Tylene) Bowman, Jodie (Edward) Dery, Tasha Todd, Nicole (Nathan) Doerr and Jessica (Mardy) Floberg; 23 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Bethel Church in Reed City located at 515 W. Lincoln Avenue. Visitation with the family took place on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Pruitt-Livingston Funeral Home in Reed City. Burial will be private.
