Kirk Lee McCauley Sr., age 66 of Sears, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was born November 12, 1958 to Carl and Lulubelle (Nowland) McCauley in Reed City, Michigan. Kirk graduated from Evart High School in 1976. Kirk was a dedicated and hard working man who always desired to obtain the best for his family. For 35 years he was a painter at Ventra until his retirement in 2019.

Kirk valued spending time with his children and grandchildren, was always there to help in any way that was needed and left his family with many stories to tell. In his spare time, he liked to hunt, fish, farm, sit out on his porch, watch anything on the Western Channel and of course joke around.

Left to cherish his memory are: his mother, Lulubelle McCauley of Evart; children, Kirk (Kasey Fitzpatrick) McCauley Jr. of Sears, John (Kiera) McCauley of Evart, and Todd (Ashley) McCauley of Evart; 6 grandchildren, Tia (Logan) Cushman, Jonathon, Emma, Easton, Kenzie, and Myles McCauley; two sisters, Debbie (Ralph) Custer and Diane (Brad) Connor all of Evart; two uncles, Duane McCauley and Duey Nowland; lifelong friends, Lee Meyers and Patrick “Pogy” Gerding and many extended family members and friends.

Kirk was preceded in death by: his father, Carl; son, Ross McCauley; his brother, Terry McCauley and nephew, Jeff Dague.

Funeral services for Kirk was held at 1PM on Saturday, April 5th , with visitation two hours prior (11AM - 1PM) at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart, with Pastor Curtis Rider officiating. He will be laid to rest at Sylvan Township Cemetery. A luncheon followed at Calvary Baptist Church, 636 N. Oak St., Evart.
