Lois Elaine Minier, 90, of Bitely

Lois Elaine Minier, age 90 of Bitely, went to her heavenly home on April 6.

Lois treasured the Bible and the Bible- based Heidelberg Catechism Question and Answer One so that "in life and in death, her comfort and hope were in belonging to her faithful Savior, Jesus Christ." Hallelujah!

Lois was the daughter of the late Bob and Marion Zeinstra and the sister of the late MaryLynne (late Arnold) Terpstra and the late Roger Zeinstra (Thelma). Lois was a 1953 graduate of Union High School and a 1956 graduate of Butterworth Hospital School of Nursing.

In addition to providing care as a Registered Nurse and Color and Make-up Analyst, Lois served in many philanthropic capacities, including as a PTA and room mom, catechism leader, president of the women's guild, and choir member.

Lois provided countless cards, homemade meals and cookies to shut-ins and people in need, along with sewing thousands of pillowcase dresses for orphans in Haiti. Lois was a member of the Butterworth Hospital Nurses Alumnae Association, the Nichols Lake Association, and the Fellowship Christian Reformed Church.

Lois is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 69 years, Jerrold Lewis. Together, they have four beloved daughters: Jayne, the late Amy (Philip), Sara, and Jennifer (Daniel). Lois is also survived by her grandchildren: Bryan (Karina) and their children: Lucas and Ian, Cory (Jayne) and their children: Eleanor, Samuel, Elias, Gabriel, and baby-on-the-way, Karyn (Brent) and their son, Jackson, Leigh (Ricky), Paige (Bobby), Grace, Faith (Jason), F. Lewis, Alex (Grace), Elaina and Danae, along with several other family members

Lois will be remembered for her spunky spirit and her Christ-filled life of love, kindness, hospitality, generosity and compassion.

Lois and Jerry and family give special thanks and appreciation to the devoted Corewell Hospice Team (Stacy, Paige, Shannon, Christine, and Jasmine) for their amazing, tender care.

A celebration of Lois' life and heavenly homecoming will be held on April 26, 2025 at 12:00PM at Fellowship Christian Reformed Church, 407 Perry Avenue, Big Rapids. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Fellowship Christian Reformed Church.

Arrangements are in the care of Daggett Gilbert Funeral Homes, Big Rapids. To leave a memory or share a condolence, please visit, www.daggettfuneral.com
