Patricia Ann Szynkowski, age 88, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, in Big Rapids, Michigan.

Born on February 21, 1937, to Stanley and Amelia (Ambrose) Jakubielski, Patricia lived a life full of love, laughter, and spirited enthusiasm. In 1957, she married her soulmate, Stephen Szynkowski, and together they built a beautiful life and family rooted in warmth and devotion.

Patricia was a woman of many passions. She found joy in tending to her garden, testing her luck at poker and BINGO, hunting for treasures at garage sales, and taking fun-filled casino bus trips. A devoted NASCAR and Detroit Lions fan, Patricia brought energy and excitement to everything she did. She especially loved the companionship of her beloved dog, “Puppy.”

Above all, Patricia was a proud and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her cherished children: Debbie (Bobby) Brooks, Stephen (Cindy) Szynkowski, Robert (Lisa) Szynkowski, and Cheryl (Doug) Weining. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Alicia (Steve), Natazsa, Curtis, Casey (Amanda), Christian (Meghan), Grace, Austin, Jerid, and Cylee; and five great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her dear sister Sue (Chris) Ambrose, and many nieces and nephews.

Patricia is preceded in death by her loving husband Stephen, her parents, her grandson Max, and her two granddaughters Brittany and Skylar.

A Memorial Visitation was held on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Homes of Big Rapids. A luncheon followed at The Eagles of Big Rapids, where friends and family are welcome to gather and share memories.
