Darrell Vernon Louks, age 74 of Reed City, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

He was born November 28, 1950, in Reed City to Maxwell and Audrey (Kienitz) Louks and he was a 1968 graduate of Reed City High School.  Darrell was employed with the Chrysler Motor Company in Detroit until he and his husband, Bradley Peirucki, moved back to the area and built a home on family property in 2000 where they enjoyed their retirement together.

Darrell left behind a brother, Allen, who sadly passed away only three days after Darrell, and his sister-in-law Chris Louks; his newly adopted family the Bush’s, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many lifelong friends.

He was preceded in death by his husband Bradley; parents Maxwell and Audrey; his sister Janice Westenfeld; and twin stillborn brothers.

His loving temperament, humor and antics will surely be missed by all.

A memorial gathering will take place at a later date.
