Gloria Fay Beaton, 74, of Sears, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on June 1, 2025. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Gloria who was born on March 14, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, to Edmund and Eileen (Bulger) Gostlin was the oldest of eight children. On November 22, 1969, Gloria married William J. Beaton, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Evart. They established their home in Tustin, where they raised their daughter, Sheri until moving to Sears 15 years ago. A dedicated stay-at-home mom, Gloria was instrumental in establishing bowling leagues at The Pines and creating many tournaments and had an open door and place for any kid who needed it. There was not a family member of hers that didn't learn how to bowl.

Gloria was funny and would do anything to put a smile on anyone's face or make them laugh. She was an avid gardener who even at the hospital was planning a garden. Gloria enjoyed golfing, politicking, Euchre, crocheting and sewing. She was passionate about things she believed in, bowling,and most of all caring for her family. She made Halloween costumes and made sure that nobody went without a hat, mittens, or slippers. Gloria was a huge crafter and made the best barbecue sauce and ribs.

Gloria was preceded in death by: her sisters, Jerre Gostlin and Michelle "Mickey" Militello; her parents, Edmund and Eileen; sisters-in-law, Patricia Shier, Judy Sanford, Joan Glover, and Jackie McNeil and a multitude of dogs throughout the years.

Left to treasure her memory are: her beloved husband of 56 years, William "Bill" of Sears; their daughter, Sheri (Timothy) Nink of Muskegon; three grandchildren, Alicia (Hunter) Sipperley of Twin Lake, Sarah (Mark) McClain, and Reianna Nink, all of Muskegon; one great-granddaughter, Veronica Fay Thomas, and another great-granddaughter on the way; siblings, Kevin (Robin), Kirk (Laurie), Timothy (Marcia), Craig (Shelly), and Patricia "Kissy" Gostlin; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Hartsell and Sandra Woodall; and many extended family members and friends.

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Thursday, June 5th at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart, Michigan from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Per her wishes cremation will follow. Condolences can be left online for the family of Gloria Beaton at www.coreyfuneralhome.com.
