Sandra "Sandy" Kanouse passed away at her home on June 10, 2025, at the age of 85. 

She was born in Marinette, Wisconsin, to parents Francis and June Andre, but spent most of her life in Michigan.

Sandy was a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister. She was the heart of the family, and even into her later years, continued to host holiday gatherings where she baked and served her famous pies. Although her house was small, her heart was big, and she never turned anyone away from her table.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; daughters, Michele and Robin; sons, Gene, Dwight, and Raymond; and her sister, Lois.

She is survived by her brother, Mike; sons, Art, John, Steve, Scott, Jesse, Dan, and Adam; daughter, Paula; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be missed dearly. In accordance with her wishes, the family will hold a private service. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Salvation Army.
