Calvin Raymond Muncey passed away June 13, 2025, with his family by his side. He was 95 years old.
He was born in Oscoda, Michigan to Oscar and Martha Muncey and served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. Shortly after returning, he met the love of his life Rosella June Holmes. They made a life together in Grand Rapids, where Calvin worked as a truck driver for 30 years for Columbia Storage.
After is retirement, he and Rosella moved back to Tustin where they could enjoy the outdoors and maintain their massive garden. They spent their winters in Florida amongst many friends. He was an avid hunter and fisherman skills and knowledges in which he passed onto his grandkids. He loved sweets, especially chocolate chip cookies, and opening presents. Another passion of his was camping and playing cards with his family and friends. As we all know he loved to win.
He is preceded in death by his parents; many siblings; and his son-in-law Phil Bialk.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years Rosella, his sister Clara (Stan) Bush, children Judy (Bob) Smith, Carol Bialk, Randy (Tammy) Unger. Grand children Raylene (Brian) Knuth, Dennis Knight, Eric Knight, Jessica (Randy) Tann Reyn (April) Unger, Kelly Smith, Kyle Smith. Great-grandchildren Randi (Phoenix), Anthony (Amanda), Eddie, Jasmine, Makayla, Jalen, Christopher, E.J, Zeek, Molly, Austin, Jordan, Reece, Maria, Carmen, Ashley. Great-great grandchildren Jordan, Brooklyn, Rosella, Cecelia, Remington. And many more.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the Pruitt-Livingston Funeral Home in Reed City and visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 A.M. Burial services will take place at the Burdell Township Cemetery near Tustin at 3:00 P.M.
