Wanda Mae Rossiter, of Evart, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025, in Big Rapids with her daughter at her side. She was 95 years young.

Wanda was born in Birch Run on August 4, 1929, to Bradford and Marguerite (Ziegler) King. She was married on July 31, 1946, in Clare, to Robert D. Rossiter. They made their home in Evart where she worked as an assembler at Evart Products for two decades. When she was able, she was active in the community through the VFW Post 7979 Women’s Auxiliary and as a parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, as an alter server.

Wanda was an honorable woman who lived by her faith, was a good cook who had a listening ear, and wasn’t afraid to offer advice. She was an amazing mother, not only to her own children, but to any kids in the neighborhood. She was fun to be around and had lots of friends whom she treated like family, she always made you feel welcome in her home. She was dedicated and never missed the chance to make you feel special with a birthday card.

Left to honor her legacy are: one son, Mike Rossiter of Jacksonville, Texas; one daughter, Becky (Lenny) Blaker of Evart; three grandchildren, Michael (Babs) Rossiter of Tyler, Texas, Janell (Alan) Woyt of Montgomery, Texas and Troy (Stephanie) Allan of West Olive, MI; four great-grandchildren, Michael, Brandon, Alexis and Jake; two great-great-grandchildren, Kamryn and Noah and many extended family and friends.

Mrs. Rossiter was preceded in death by: her husband of 65 years, Robert, who she has missed since 2012; son, Jeff; sister, Marjorie (John) Conner; dear friend, Gary McMillian and her parents.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Evart.

A Celebration of Life at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Evart is being planned for a later date. Cremation and care have been entrusted to Corey Funeral Home.
