Theodore (Ted) Alden Knecht, age 94 of Reed City, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 3, 2025. 

Ted was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Fredrick and Eva Knecht. He was raised on the family farm in Rockford, Michigan. He served his country honorably in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean War. He later made his life in Reed City, where he built his home.

Ted is survived by the love of his life, Cheryl Stellini; children, Scott (Lisa) and Kristie (Kim); stepchildren, Jason Stellini, Julia Stellini, and Tracey (John) Duchene; grandchildren, Charlie, Tommy, Hailey (Derrick), Madison, Ethan, Justin, Hannah, Ashley (Mike), Amy, Michael (Sarah); and 5 great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Remi, Hunter, Miles and Harper. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick and Eva Knecht and brothers Fred and Richard.

Ted very much enjoyed a lifetime full of hunting and fishing, trips to the casino and all the hours spent on his beloved Kubota Tractor.

Memorial services will be held at the Reed City Moose Lodge on July 30, 2025, from 3–7pm.
