Ruthanne Young of Leroy passed away July 15, 2025, at the age of 74.

Ruth was born on December 4, 1950, in Clare MI to Mary Lois Titmus and William Thomas Goodwin. 

Ruth is survived by her siblings, Cindy Johnson and Rick Goodwin, her children, Mike (Jessica) Young, Tom Young (Sherry Fleming), Nicole Young, and Trisha Young, her grandchildren, Jake Decker, Michaela McQuestion (Nick McClure), Jade Young (Levi Riker), and Gabe Young, and many that loved her, including extended family and friends. 

Ruth was preceded in death by several family members and friends, including her parents, her brother Michael Goodwin, and her husband Dennis Young. 

Over the years Ruth served as a caregiver to many individuals and at the Cadillac Area Public Schools as a special education para pro. She genuinely enjoyed taking care of people. She had a special love for the many people that touched her heart, to know her was to love her. Anybody that knew her will tell you she was one of the strongest women they knew, maybe a little bull headed at times.  She was loved by many and will be missed by many. 

Ruth loved her flowers and could tell you everything about the many varieties in her yard. She loved dragonflies which you soon find out just by being in her space and seeing the many dragonfly decorations that she acquired. She loved being in nature, including taking walks in the woods and mowing her lawn. She loved sunsets and taking pictures of the sunsets and sharing them. We will all remember her smile in every flower, dragonfly, and sunset that we have the pleasure of viewing. 

The family will hold a private memorial in her memory at a later date.
