(Mary) Mirth Stephens Brockway went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the age of ninety-eight. She was a lifetime resident of Lakeview, Michigan and a graduate of Lakeview High School. Mirth was a member of Brockway Wesleyan Church (BWC) for seventy-six years and served in many different roles such as: Chairman and Member of BWC Board, Superintendent & Teacher of Sunday School Youth Classes, and volunteered to assist students at the Brockway Christian Academy. Mirth was a Charter Board Director of the Lakeview Community First Federal Credit Union 1985-1993. She served on the Hinton Township Board and was Den Mother of a Cub Scout group. Many knew Mirth as an accountant of Leppink’s Supermarket for thirty-seven years until her retirement. Hobbies included gardening, reading, walking, sewing, shopping, cooking, and having fun.

Mirth was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert (Bob) Brockway, her parents Earl & Alma (Mitchell) Stephens, her sisters Dorothy (John) Rasmussen and Jean (Ray) Schwandt and her daughter-in- law Patti (Banachowski) Brockway.

Mirth is survived by her beloved children: Andrew Robert Brockway (Terri), Cynthia Brockway; her brothers Clare (MaryAnna), Carl (Sandy) Stephens, Wesley (Elaine) Stephens; her grandchildren: Stephen (Sidney) Brockway, Sarah Brockway Yeung (Andrew), Daniel (Jess) Brockway; her great-grandchildren: Nicholas Yeung, Natalie Yeung, Liam Brockway, Eli Brockway, Adalynn Brockway; and her much loved nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved church family, friends, and neighbors.

Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Brockway Wesleyan Church at 11:00am with luncheon following. Cemetery service will be held with family members.
