William "Bill" Sleeman Jr. age 64, passed away on September 10, 2025.
Bill was born on February 1, 1961, to William Sr. and Gloria (Heaton) Sleeman. During high school, Bill met the love of his life, Rose LaFountain. Though life took them on separate paths for 40 years, their love endured, and they were joyfully reunited later in life. Together, they built a loving home and cherished family. A man of strong faith, Bill was a devoted member of Luther Bible Chapel in Newaygo. He was also proud to have recently celebrated 13 years of sobriety through AA. For more than 30 years, Bill worked as a truck driver and was a proud member of Truckers USA.
Bill loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family. Known for his quick sense of humor, generous heart, and welcoming spirit, he never met a stranger and was deeply loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Rose; children, Harmony, Daniel, Autumn (Aaron), Rachel, and Justin; siblings, James, Lori (Tavis), and Melissa (Christopher); many nieces and nephews, including his cherished Goddaughter Bethany (Baxter), Brandyn (Carmen), Jessica (David), and Tommy (Alisha) great-nieces and nephews, Bre, Keira, Logan, Madison, Morgan, Keely, Finley, and Grace; and his special aunt Carol (uncle Walt), uncle Don (aunt Alice), uncle Terry, and aunt Marilyn.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Steven, and his godson and nephew Brent. The family is planning a memorial service in Bill’s honor, with details to be shared once finalized. Memorial contributions may be made to The Luther Bible Chapel Church of Newaygo.
