James David Robinson, 69

James David Robinson, age 69, of Evart, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Reed City Michigan, on December 11,1955 to Carl Jr. and Donna (Curnett) Robinson.

With a tender heart and steadfast loyalty, he cared deeply for others and never hesitated to give his very last to help someone else. Though he carried a rough exterior, those who knew him felt the gentleness and warmth within. Known by his family as the man with many lives, he defied the odds time and time again. His determination and willpower were unmatched, and he taught us all what it means to fight for every moment.

A man of many trades, he carried on the family business of Robinson Forestry. He built his life upon a strong foundation of faith and found joy in ministry. He dedicated himself to a life of service, always ready to extend a helping hand. He carried his beliefs with fearlessness and conviction, boldly guiding others toward God without hesitation.

He found joy in music, whether that was playing the guitar, singing and songwriting or listening to George Jones. He especially loved karaoke, where his confidence shone brightly, often sharing the stage with his daughter Kayle. He was instantly recognizable by his signature all-black attire, cowboy hat, and boots, earning him the nickname ‘Man in Black.’”

He is survived by his dedicated daughter, Kayle Ann Robinson of Evart; and grandchildren; James David Gren, Logan Eastman, Caleb Robinson, Boyd Bentley, and Lizzie Bentley, his siblings; Carl (Donna)  Robinson, Sharon Ozimac, Patrick (Karen) Robinson, Luke (Marie) Robinson, and Tammy Dellar.

He is also survived by his soulmate, Diana Carmichael, and her children; Tony, Tammy, and Tim, whom he loved as his own, along with their families. He also held a very special place in his heart for; Collete, Angel, Erica, and Miranda.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Carl Jr and Donna (Curnett) Robinson and his Brother-in-laws; Robert Ozimac and William Dellar.
