Walter Herman Schultz, 89, of Bay City, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 18, 2025 at Country Easy Living, in Reed City where he has resided the last few months. Walter was a twin, born on June 19, 1936 in Bay City, Michigan to Erich and Dorothy (Katt) Schultz. He spent his life in the foster care system where he eventually met Beverly Hooker.
Beverly became his guardian fifteen years ago and they became fast friends. His magnetic personality would draw you in and his good sense of humor and ability to make people laugh would keep you there. He made friends easily and loved to dance. Walter brought joy to those around him and they loved him for it.
His genuine care and concern for those around him was evident in the loving farewell he received upon his passing. He was surrounded by his roommates and friends who told him to “Have fun in Heaven, be good and you will be missed."
If we could all be a little more like Walter, what a wonderful world it would be.
Cremation and care have been entrusted to the Corey Funeral Home in Evart. He will be laid to rest with his brother at heart, Jerry Baldwin, at Orient Township Cemetery, Sears, Michigan.
