Jon Thomas Mazurek, age 34, passed away unexpectedly on November 1, 2025. He was born on November 23, 1990, to John Nolan Mazurek and Donna Jeane (Jarvis) Mazurek.

Jon graduated from Ida S. Baker High School in Cape Coral, Florida, in 2008. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the sunshine state of Florida. He was a dedicated salesman in the power sports industry, where his passion for anything with a motor—four-wheelers, dirt bikes, and more—shined through.

Jon attended St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Remus. He loved the outdoors, especially spending time fishing on Fawn Lake. Those who knew Jon will remember him for his outgoing personality, strong will, loving heart, bravery, and his fighting spirit. Above all, Jon cherished the moments spent with his son, Jon Wayne, and his significant other, Brittany Myers.

He is survived by his parents, John and Donna Mazurek; his beloved son, Jon Wayne Mazurek; his significant other, Brittany Myers; his siblings, Morgan (Dave) Mazurek - Mullins, Brittany (Roger) Hicks, Jenna (Ed) Weatherly; and his bonus grandparents, Sandra and Tom Linn. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who adored him: Gabby Mullins, Adelle, Alaina, Skylar, and Starlar Hicks, Brinley Weatherly, Killian Edwards, Summer and Jaxon Coffman. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jon was preceded in death by his sister, Paige Elizabeth Mazurek, and his grandparents, Albert Thomas Jarvis, Dorothy Jeane Jarvis, John Henry Mazurek, and Helen Lucille Mazurek.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Remus, with Father Mike Alber as Celebrant. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the church. Visitation will take place on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. with rosary at 8 p.m., at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Remus.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to assist in setting up a college fund for Jon’s son, Jon Wayne.
