Cynthia Zoe Wagner passed away on November 15, 2025 in Big Rapids, Michigan. She was born on July 12, 1962 in Portland, Oregon and was adopted at birth by Kenneth and Ruth (Saltsgaver) Wagner.

Cindy was an avid reader, often disappearing for hours on end in a good book from her ever-growing library, mostly enjoying science fiction, occasionally dipping into other genres and avoiding any and all romance novels with great disdain. She had an associates degree in communication, minoring in speech communication, had experience as an EMT, and had traveled most of the intercontinental United States, She had an eye for what some would call antiques, in her eye it was a thing of quality and craftsmanship unrivaled in this day and age.

She could often be found behind the lens of a camera, on one occasion I remember her father had asked her how she was able to get such detail and focus on a cat's whiskers and remarked that it was an incredible photograph.Quite the compliment from a man who had 2 agents and sold pictures some of us have seen in textbooks.

Animals held a special place in Cindy's heart. She was deeply passionate about their well-being, often fostering a few local strays that would grace the house. She also volunteered at the local animal shelter. She had made an impression on those who worked with her, and those who she helped along the way. Cynthia's kindness, curiosity, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her.

Cynthia is survived by her fiancé  Jared Baillargeon, and her closest friends Karen, Martha and Ruthie. She is preceded in death by both parents. Arrangements are in the care of Daggett Gilbert Funeral Homes. Per Cynthia's wishes no services are scheduled at this time. Donations in her memory can be made to Animal Rescue Coalition of Mecosta County.
