Laurie Christine Nowland, of Tiffin, OH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at her son‘s home in Sears, peacefully with her family at her side. Laurie and identical twin sister, Leah were born in Alma, Michigan on January 11, 1961 to Oscar and Janice (Wickman) Easlick. In 1981 they graduated from Marion high school.

Laurie married Frank Nowland and they had three children, Willis, Tommy, and Angela.

In 2009 she left the Marion area to reside with her sister, in Tiffin, Ohio. Laurie was feisty, kindhearted, lovable, gentle, and loved bowling and lighthouses. The last few years she was never without her lil chihuahua Rosie at her side.

Laurie was a supportive mother and grandmother and loving sister. Left to treasure the memories they have are: sister, Leah (Roy)Pratt of Tiffin; her three children, Willis Charlotte, Nowland of Sears, Thomas, Tommy Nowland of Marion and Angela (Jason) Gipson of Tiffin, Ohio; five grandchildren, Austin, Sarah (Travis) Isacson, Matthew, Brittany and Jayden; two great grandchildren, Emilee and Ezekiel; brother, Ac Easlick; sister, Janice; nephews, Timothy, Dennis and Aaron Beals who she was particularly close to, and many nieces, nephews extended family, and friends.

Laurie was preceded in death by: her brother, Theodore “Ted” Bergey; infant grandson, Anthony James Nowland and her parents.

Cremation has taken place through the care of Corey Funeral Home in Evart. A celebration of life is being planned for 6/13/26 (family reunion) at 505 S Warner Rd, Sumner, MI 48889. Until that time you are encouraged to leave condolences for the family at www.coreyfuneralhome.com.
