Gone Fishin’. Patrick Murphy, age 73 of Hersey, left this life onto his next grand adventure on December 12, 2025, at his home, following a short time with cancer. Pat was born on October 16, 1952 to Albert and Lois (Hagerman) Murphy. He resided in Hersey where he enjoyed the simple life, watching the deer, being close to his best friend, Laurie Runnels and freedom to do what he wanted.

Pat is survived by his bestie Laurie and her husband and his semi-estranged and estranged family who he genuinely wished had visited him over the last 25 years. His wife, parents and siblings went on before him.

Per Pat’s wish, cremation has taken place through the Corey Funeral Home in Evart, and a bare bones obituary has been written, reminding us to be grateful for the time we have with those we love, for we never know the last.
