Genevieve Kadwell, 95 years old, of Chase, MI, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 16th, from natural causes. 

Genevieve was born on February 07, 1930, to Guy and Audrey McDonald in Detroit, MI. After moving to Lake County, she met and married Orlin Kadwell in 1948. Genevieve was a homemaker and raised three children, Danny, Audrey, and Joanna. 

In her spare time, Genevieve worked in the Chase library, loved to sew and make quilts, and enjoyed reading mystery novels. Genevieve had seven grandchildren and played a huge role in raising all seven of them. Board games and card games were always an enjoyable pastime with her children and grandchildren. She made the best pancakes and always had a butterscotch candy ready for a treat. She lived a life filled with love and laughter. 

Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Orlin, and son Danny, her sisters Ilene and Marlene, brother John, and son-in-laws Joseph Burson and Roger Hyden. 

Genevieve is survived by her daughters, Audrey and Joanna, her sisters, Marie and Yvonne, and her brother, Kenny, as well as her seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held at Chase Fellowship Church (located on US 10 in Chase, MI) on Saturday, January 24, at 11:00 am.
