Virginia Lou Ecker, 94

Virginia Lou Ecker, lovingly known as “Jenny” to those who knew her well, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, surrounded by her daughters.

Jenny was the daughter of Harry and Gladys Pollaski. She was born on April 13, 1931, in Chase, Michigan, and was one of five children.

She is survived by her children: Sue (Duane) Brainard of Leroy; Terri Hite of Hersey; and Norman (Trish) Hottmann of Luther.

Jenny was a proud grandmother to Gary (Jamie), Dave (Monica), Jolinda (Joe), Jeremy (Dana), Charlie (Teresa), Calvin, Chrissy, Joseph (Amy), Stacey, Maddy, Abby, Kaden, and Michael, as well as several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. To all of them, she was affectionately known as “Granny Hot Pants” (if you know, you know).

Jenny spent many years in the hospitality industry as a bartender, where she made countless friends and was always known for her warm smile and welcoming presence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Gladys Pollaski; her siblings Dorothy, Evelyn, Lavonne, and Edward; her son Mike Hite; her daughter-in-law Diane; her great-grandchildren Gary T. and Jumana; and her beloved husband, Ted Ecker.
