Andrew Wesley “Andy” Jackson, age 70, of Reed City, passed away peacefully at Currie Comfort Home on Tuesday, January 27, 2025. He was born on January 13, 1956, in Lakeview, Michigan, to Ray and Avis (Morse) Jackson. Andy grew up in Saginaw and later settled in Osceola County to be closer to his family.

Andy had a generous spirit and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. In his younger years, he carried a bit of a wild streak, but as he grew older, he found his way and embraced a quieter, more grounded life. He loved to cook—especially when trying out new recipes—and he enjoyed testing his luck at the casino. Poker nights and euchre parties with friends and family were among his favorite pastimes.

He is survived by his “daughter at heart,” Charity (Steven Roys) Quick of Reed City; and five grandchildren who were the joy of his life: Raven (Lucky) Hatt, Lynn Andrews, Jaycob (Tina) Quick, Jonathon (Taylor) Roys, and Andruw (Taylor) Shaw. He is also survived by his siblings: Douglas (Barbara) DeWitt of Houghton Lake; David; Rhonda McConnell of Mount Pleasant; Gordon (Diane) Jackson of Alabama; Rayanne Shirely of Mount Pleasant; and Duane Jackson of Atlanta; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Andy was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Lucelia Patton, Claudia Quick, Stanley Jackson, and Daniel Jackson.

A celebration of Andy’s life will be held this Sunday at 3:00 PM at the Reed City Fire Department.
