Dale Richard Golombisky, age 94, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Reed City Fields Assisted Living & Memory Care.

Dale was born on April 20, 1931, in Evart, Michigan to Henry and Ora (Rich) Golombisky. He was a man of faith and family and was a dedicated member of the Evart United Methodist Church. Dale honorably served his country from 1952 to 1954 in the United States Army. He was awarded the Korean Service Ribbon with three Bronze Service Stars, a United Nations Service Medal, a National Defense Service Medal and a Republic of Korean Presidential Unit Citation. Dale was honorably discharged from the Army in April of 1954. He spent much of his life in the Evart area, where he was known for his kind nature and his commitment to his community. Dale was an avid outdoorsman who found great joy in the quiet seasons of hunting and fishing.

In 1980, Dale married Jane Ellen Westjohn. They shared thirteen years together until her passing in 1993. Dale later found companionship and love again with L. Darlene Smith. The two were married on March 17, 1995, in Kauai, Hawaii, and remained devoted to one another until her passing on April 21, 2022. Dale worked as a millwright for Pontiac Motors for 33 years until he retired in 1987 to Hicks Lake.

Dale is survived by his children; Christine Stempien of Kansas, his closest nephews; Lee Golombisky of Groveland Township and Steve Golombisky of Evart and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Ellen Golombisky; his second wife, L. Darlene Golombisky; children; Mark Hendrick, Kevin Westjohn, Steven Westjohn, his parents; four sisters; and three brothers.

A graveside burial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Greenwood Cemetery in Marion.
