Patricia Anne Glunt, age 83 of Hersey, passed away at home with her husband, James, at her side on Thursday, March 12, 2026. She was born in Detroit, MI on February 8, 1943 to John Topolewski and Gertrude Cebulski. In 1960, she graduated from Thurston High School in Redford. Patricia married James P. Glunt on May 30, 1964 in Livonia, where they made their home and raised their three children, Cheryl, Scott and Christopher.

Pat was a licensed beautician and hairdresser in the Livonia area for a number of years. Her easy going demeanor combined with a quick to smile & laugh approach led to the development of a clientele that would come to the house. When the children were older her interest in food service began as the head chef for Canteen, a commercial catering company. After moving to their home on the mighty Muskegon in 1997, the catering experience gave her the knowledge and skills needed to manage the Evart meal site for the Osceola County Commission on Aging. Work was not work for Pat - it was second nature. She was grateful to help the elderly, make friends along the way and considered herself lucky to have her husband as a delivery driver.

Throughout the years, Pat’s creativity in crafting and talent for painting led to a profitable income, from many area craft shows. Together with Jim they traveled the state and occasionally out to Vegas testing her luck at the slot machines.

Pat leaves a legacy of love and dedication. She is survived by: her husband, Jim of Hersey; three children, Cheryl (Brian) Schlief of Reno, NV, Scott Glunt of Grand Rapids and Christopher (Nikole)

Glunt of Hersey; five grandchildren, one great grandchild, and many extended family and close friends.

Pat was preceded in death by: her mom, Gertrude (Richard) Gray and father, John.
