Noreen Elaine Argue, 88

Noreen Elaine Argue, age 88 of Evart, MI, passed away in Cadillac, on Friday, March 20, 2026. She was born January 16, 1938 in Barryton, Michigan to Henry and Jennie (Welling) Tice. In 1956, she graduated from Barryton High School and soon after entered the workforce as a laborer at Evart Products.

She married Martin Beilfuss and together they had two children, Ronald and Lisa. She was a homemaker and dedicated mother while the children were being raised. For ten years she worked at the Evart Glass Plant until it was time to retire.

She was raised on the farm which gave her an excellent work ethic that she made sure to instill in the kids. Noreen was the kind of woman that would just get home from having her hair done and hop on the tractor if necessary.

Noreen was an excellent cook, who looked forward to hosting huge get-togethers, and expressed her love with the meals she prepared. Not only did she like cooking and baking, she also loved canning and gardening. Throughout the years she was always sewing or crocheting something for someone else to enjoy.

Noreen was feisty, independent, strong but loving. She was a member of the former Barryton Rebekah’s and became a member of the Hersey United Methodist Church in 1984.

On September 4, 1999, she married Thayer Argue in Pisgah Heights, Highland Twp., Osceola Co., MI and they resided in Evart. When asked how he would describe life with Noreen, his reply was simply “You couldn’t beat it.”

Left remembering the best of Noreen are: husband of nearly 27 years, Thayer Argue, two children, Ronald Beilfuss of Reed City and Lisa Beilfuss of Hersey, two sisters-in-law, Esther Anne and Ramona Tice, and many extended family and friends.

Noreen was proceeded in death by: six siblings, Kathleen McCall and Clinton, Donald, Harold, Billie and Melvin Tice and her parents.

A memorial service is being planned for 1 PM April 11, 2026 at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart, with visitation one hour prior, Noon to 1PM. Until that time condolences can be left on her “Tribute Wall” online at www.coreyfuneralhome.com   Memorial contributions in Noreen's name can be made to the Association for the Blind & Visionally Impaired that is nonprofit and located in Grand Rapids, MI, https://www.abvimi.org/your-help/donate-now/
