David Harvey Bock, age 83, of Big Rapids, passed away on April 14, 2026. David was born on November 29, 1942 to Fred and Ruth (Kahl) Bock in Detroit, Michigan.

David was a hunter and a fisherman. He was a member of the Hammond Bay Anglers for nearly 11 years. David was an avid Hockey fan, and loved cheering on the Red Wings, as well as coaching youth hockey. He also loved the Detroit Tigers and enjoyed watching the Lions. David participated in snow mobile drag racing, a sport that was introduced to him by his late son David Jr. and whose legacy he continued to honor through the sport. He was also a proud member of the US Power Squadron. David loved spending time with his family on the water, and would get them out on the boat every chance he could get. His life and love will be remembered and cherished always.

David is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Marianne (Coffman) Bock; daughter, Deb (Stuart) Laakso; grandchildren, Laura (Eric) Witherspoon, and Nicole (Mike) Regeczi; great grandchildren, Brianna (Carter) Regeczi, Michael Regeczi, Casper Witherspoon, Jacob Regeczi, Maxine Witherspoon, Joseph Regeczi, and Charlie Regeczi.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son David Jr., and daughter Kim.
