Gordon George Baglaj was born November 10, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, and died April 26, 2026 in Evart, Michigan.

Gordon attended Guardian Angels Catholic School and graduated from Notre Dame Catholic High School in 1970. He attended Lawrence Technological University where he pledged to Theta Xi fraternity and received a B.S. in Business Management. He worked as a real estate broker with ReMax for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Hubert’s Catholic Church, where he served as an usher and taught catechism.

Gordon was preceded in death by: his parents, George and Gloria Baglaj, grandparents, Walter and Jeanette Popkie and John Baglaj, and aunts Lorraine (Arthur) Adams, Jenny (Ted) Grabowski, Jessie (Adam) Glowniak, and Virginia (Herb) Lincoln.

Gordon is survived by: his children, Acela Moreira, Andrew Baglaj, and Michael Baglaj, grandchildren, Marina (Alejandro), Madison, Samuel, Seth (Caroline), Jennifer, William, Paige, and Remington, his sister, Gail (Dave) Maison, nieces and numerous cousins.

Gordon was an avid sailboat racer, and was a member of North Sail Club, where he served as Commodore in 1991. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, fixing things, and entertaining family and friends with a day of boating, good food and great stories. He loved to take people out for a day of sailing or “stink” boating on Lake St. Clair. He told the best, most vivid stories and could always be counted on to have something to say about any topic. He was beloved by his family and numerous friends, and will be greatly missed.

Cremation has taken place through the Corey Funeral Home in Evart. Services will be held when we can all be together. Until that time expressions of sympathy can be shared by having the tribute wall tab on Gordon page
