Rick Harley Schuberg, age 75, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 31, 2026, with his family at his side. Abiding by his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. He looked forward to his heavenly meeting with his Savior Jesus Christ and to once again be with his son, Erik and parents, Alan and Julia (Brown) Schuberg. 

Rick is survived by his wife of 48 years, Laura Schuberg; children: Stacy (Kevin) Horn of Traverse City, MI, Stephen (Amber) Schuberg of Lake, MI, Alyson (George) Dudley of Farwell, MI, David (Erin) Schuberg of Beal City, MI, Nathan (Judy) Schuberg of Aurora, CO, Katharine (Jerrison) Basemore of Dearborn, MI and Sarah Schuberg of Fairbanks, AK; Grandchildren: Micah, Sophia, Avery, Emery, Alan, Abraham, Emma, Samuel, Matthew, Grace, Faith, Amoura, Serenity, Tarikh, and James (in June); three siblings, Gary (d. Cynthia) Schuberg, Gail (Daryl) Knoblock, and Laurie (Mark) McMurray and many extended family and friends.

Rick’s life emulated Hebrews 12:1-3, he “ran with perseverance the race marked out for him, fixing his eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith.”
