Justin Amon, 39

With the sudden passing of Justin Floyd Amon, 39 of Mecosta, MI, along side of girlfriend, Casey Rabbitt, on Friday, August 7, 2026, we are left with a void in our family and in our hearts.

Justin was born March 6, 1987 in Reed City to Randy and Brenda (Chapman) Amon. He? attended Chippewa Hills High School and currently worked at the Shell Station in Canadian Lakes. Prior to that he had worked for Unified Brands and the last six years were spent at Lakeside/Fox Motors where he made several friends.

Justin didn’t lack in socializing skills. Along with that came: bonfires, throwing horseshoes, boating and cookouts. He was a people person and outgoing but not loud about it. His “it is, what it is” attitude left him with a pleasant disposition, most days. Any chance he had he was going fishing and could often be found playing Monopoly on his phone with family.

Not too long ago, he had a post that read “ if I ever pass suddenly, tell my kids they were my greatest reason to fight. I lived for them, every single day.”

Lately, Justin and Casey were inseparable. They were a team believing in having each-others back, learning to be fully supportive of one another, not doubting loyalty and how much love was there. For family and friends, the relationship he had with them were unconditional.

Left to treasure the memories they have and steadfast in faith that their family chain will link again are Justin’s: three sons, Hunter, Madden, and Zander; parents, Brenda and Randy Amon of Mecosta; sister, Jennifer (Brandon) Sanderson of Virginia; two brothers, Jeremy Amon of Tennessee, and Joshua (Felysia) Amon of Lake, Michigan; eight nieces and nephews, one great nephew, six aunts and uncles and numerous cousins, extended family and friends.

Justin may not have always gone to church but he had faith and believed his grandparents were often over him. He is now at rest with: maternal and paternal grandparents, Victor and Bertha Chapman & Floyd and Ruth Amon. He is also reunited with his closest cousin, Travis and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A CELEBRATION of LIFE will be held 3PM on TUESDAY, August 11th at the BARRYTON CHURCH of GOD with a picnic style luncheon to follow (please bring a dish to pass). Luncheon concerns call 662-610-4044.

Memorial contributions in Justin’s name can be directed to his “tribute fund” at Corey Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses. Donations can be made by clicking the Tribute Fund Tab up above or sent directly to the Funeral Home. Link to Justin's page at https://www.coreyfuneralhome.com/obituaries/Justin-F-Amon?obId=49212483
