Ronald Rykert, age 91, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, in Howard City, Michigan.

Ronald enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and will be remembered for his love of camping, trail riding, and tinkering in his garage. He especially enjoyed spending time with friends and family, often sharing stories and having a beer with those he loved.

Ronald is survived by his brother, Harvey Rykert; his sons, Kenneth Rykert, David Rykert, and Tim Rykert; and his grandchildren, Kelly Smith, Andrew Zylstra, Kady Orvis, Sophia Rykert, Amanda Canan, Alex Rykert, Steven Rykert, and Sean Rykert.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Bessie Rykert; his wife, Joan Rykert; his daughter, Tamra Zylstra; and his brother, James Rykert.

A joint service honoring Ronald Rykert and his wife, Joan Rykert, will be held at the Coral Cemetery in Coral, Michigan, at a future date. Details regarding the service will be announced when arrangements have been finalized.

Ronald will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
