Janet Lynn Barth, 70, of Reed City, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026 in Traverse City with her children at her side. Janet was a twin, born in Midland on October 7, 1955 to John and Joline (Decker) Fairchild. When their mom remarried they were adopted by, Edward Waldfogel. Janet and twin, Jeff, graduated from Midland Dow High School in 1973.
Janet married Roland Barth (still surviving) and they had two children that were raised a short time in Midland before divorcing and moving to Evart. When the kids were still young, the three, moved to Virginia to be closer to her twin. A twins bond never ends. Janet currently managed the Meadowbrook Apartments in Reed City.
Crafting and making something out of nothing came easy to Janet. She was supportive of her family and tried to instill a good work ethic.
Amongst themselves she strived to keep her family together and have a continuous close connection with them. Janet’s greatest joy in life were her six grandchildren: Drayden and Hartley Beehler, and Alex, Jaxson, Everly and Ivie Barth.
Janet left her children; Lynndsay Beehler of Cadillac and Brandon (Nicole) Barth of Tustin with the affirmation that they would be OK, that she was proud of them and knowing they were loved.
Janet is also survived by siblings: Earl (Pat) Hintz, Sandy Coty, “Jamie” James (Michele) Waldfogel and Judy (Ken) Kerr; and many nieces, nephews extended family, and friends.
