Harold Raymond Rasmussen, 84 of Reed City, Michigan was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 5, 2026, with family at his side. He was born August 13, 1942, in Big Rapids, Michigan to Harold Lawrence and Mae Louise (Pulsipher) Rasmussen. As a young lad his family moved from Hersey to Luther where he was raised.

On September 30, 1962, he married Jeanne Galloup in Big Rapids, Michigan and they made their home and raised their family in Leroy. In his younger years he worked with his father at Watson Car Dealership in Cadillac where his interest in auto sales began. Throughout the years he perfected his trade at dealerships in Big Rapids and Paris.

Harold was a gentle man who faced everyday with God and family coming first. He often sought to find the humor in things with his family rather than focus on its difficulties.

Harold was genuinely interested in rockets and space, hunting and fishing, construction and most of all anything to do with cars and Buick Industries.

Grateful for the wonderful memories and knowing that they will one day, see Harold again are: his loving wife of 64 years, Jeanne; children, Raymond Rasmussen of Montague, Brian (Ardy) Rasmussen of Luther, Dale (Julie) Rasmussen of Leroy, and Gena (Jim) Nowitzke of Leroy; 13 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; sister, Audrey King and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Harold was proceeded in death by his parents; sisters, Shirley (Ben) Rhodes and Lorraine (Bruce) Williams and brother-in-law, Larry King.

Harold was laid to rest on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the East Ellsworth Cemetery in Luther. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Evart First Baptist Church, on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. where Jeanne and Harold were members for numerous years.
