Jonas J. Mast, age 27 years, suddenly passed on to his eternal home on Oct. 2, 2026, at his home in Stanwood, Mi.

Jonas was born in Mecosta County, Michigan, to John and Rebecca Mast on May 16, 1999. He married the love of his life, Faith Marie Western, on August 28, 2021. He was a partner, along with his 3 brothers at Mast Construction company located in Stanwood. Jonas was also a farmer committed to regenerative farming and God-fearing stewardship of his land and animals.

Jonas was a committed disciple of Jesus Christ and believed that the life of a Christian should be a life of victory and freedom from sin. His desire was to glorify God in life and in death and to live his life in the love and fear of God. Jonas loved his Lord Jesus above all else and exemplified that in his obedience to him.

Jonas was also a loving Father and Husband to his wife and 3 daughters and was committed to lead them to Christ and to teach them how to live off the land and to survive by the grace and provision of God. His encouragement to the Church of Christ would be to fear God and keep his commandments.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Faith, and his 3 daughters, Evelyn Grace, Novalie Rebecca, and Willow Faith. Siblings Anna (David) Coblentz, Andy (Virginia), Mary (Floyd) Hersberger, Esther (Henry) Coblentz, Daniel (Vanessa), David, Emma Williams and Sara Mast. Mother-in-law Shannon Holmes, grandparents Mike and Dee Holmes, 16 nephews and nieces, Uncles, Aunts, cousins and many friends. Jonas is preceded in death by his father, his mother and all 4 of his grandparents.

Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at The Woods Free Methodist Church, 7486 Stanwood Drive, Stanwood, Mi. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026, 3:00 p.m. at Reslife Church, 14734 215th Ave., Big Rapids, Mi. with Pastor Eric Stadtfeld officiating.
