Maxine Stimpert Rusnell, 83, of Pinellas Park, Florida, formerly of Lake Orion, Michigan, passed away on October 9, 2026.

Maxine was born on August 3, 1943, in Edmore, Michigan, to Willard and Beulah Stimpert. She grew up in Edmore, graduating from Edmore High School in 1962.

Some of her fondest memories were made at the ball fields, where she spent countless hours and weekends cheering on her boys through various sports and activities. As her family grew, so did her love for the generations that followed. Affectionately known as "Nana," "Nene," or "Nena," she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Being their grandmother was one of her greatest joys.

Maxine found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time in her garden and caring for her beloved pets.

Her black labrador, Bear, and French bulldog, Maggie, held special places in her heart. She also dedicated many years of her life to volunteering at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida, generously giving her time and reflecting her caring nature and Iove of helping others.

Maxine is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Douglas Rusnell: their four sons and significant others: Terry (Denise) Rusnell, Todd (Amy) Rusnell, Troy (Nicole) Rusnell, and Travis (Manny Cobos) Rusnell.

She is also survived by her five beloved grandchildren: Andrew (Kelly) Rusnell, Austin (Katie) Rusnell. Katelyn Rusnell, Cael Rusnell, and Kennedy Rusnell, and four cherished great-grandchildren: Kinsley Rusnell, Carter Rusnell, Remi Rusnell, and Emma Rusnell.

Maxine leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, the Love she gave so freely and the memories she helped create will remain in the hearts of her family and friends for generations to come.
