Katrina Marie Lindsay, 62, of Barryton, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on October 13, 2026. She was born on October 5, 1964, to Clinton and Barbara Friar.
Katrina worked hard throughout her life as a cashier and manager at several local gas stations throughout the Big Rapids, Remus, and Barryton areas. She was known for her strong work ethic, loving heart, and caring nature. Katrina was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back, and she never hesitated to tell you exactly how it was. She had a way of humbling you quickly, all while making sure you knew how much she cared.
A woman of the Catholic faith, Katrina enjoyed spending time out on the water, shopping, visiting casinos, and admiring the Mackinac Bridge. She loved treating herself to a delicious plate of crab legs and especially cherished the weekends away she shared with her husband, Jeff, a couple of times each year. These getaways were opportunities to make memories and enjoy the simple pleasures of life together.
Above all else, Katrina adored her family. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she treasured every opportunity to spend time with them. Enjoyed watching them fish. Her girls and grandchildren especially enjoyed their shopping trips with her, including their memorable visits to Hobby Lobby. She also enjoyed watching her grandson race mud trucks, in which she was very proud to share with others. Whether spending time together, going on an adventure, or simply enjoying one another’s company, Katrina made sure her family knew they were loved. Her honest nature, generous spirit, and unmistakable personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Katrina is survived by her loving husband, Jeffery “Jeff” Lindsay, whom she married on September 28, 1985. She is also survived by her son, Ross (Brittany) Lindsay; her daughters, Barbara (Jason Collard) Lindsay and Kristina (Jason) Sutton her stepdaughter, Jennifer (Bo) Allen; her brothers, Mark Friar and Chris (Sharon) Friar; her grandchildren, Cecilia, Delilah, and Dominic Rodriguez, Owen, Natalee, and Addison Sutton, and Waylon Lindsay; and her great-granddaughter, Maddilynn Butts and many step-grandchildren and great step-grandchilden.
