Sally Zoyiopoulos, passed away at her home in the wintry woods on December 12, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. In accordance with her wishes, put down your phone, and pay attention. If you are reading this on your phone, do not tell Sally. Ever.

Sally’s ninety-two years were very full and impossible to condense, so here are some highlights.

From a young age, Sally loved all aspects of fishing and was an expert at cleaning fish and eating fish, and she loved fishing with her son best of all, a true Mother’s Day treat. Rivaling her love of fishing was her love of dogs. She loved Irish Setters the best, one in particular, and the other the best she could. In lieu of an Irish Setter, she poured her love into Quinci, who loved Sally right back like only a good dog can.

Sally was bold like no other. She loved swimming and was part of the high school synchronized swimming team which was pretty amazing since Title IX was a long way off. She worked outside the home her entire adult life, at a time when that wasn’t mainstream. She was a fearless traveler, enjoying several excursions with friends and family out West and to Europe. In her eighties, she didn’t hesitate to agree to a 1000-mile road trip in a Volkswagen Beetle of questionable reliability.

Sally was a prolific baker, and despite her children’s best efforts, she took her official recipes with her. If you enjoyed Sally’s delicious baked goods, good luck finding a worthy replacement. She was most famous for her baklava, and she likely made thousands of pies from scratch, including the crusts. She was known for bringing baked goods to meetings, so meetings may be canceled from here on.

Sally was also a passionate fiber artist and crafter, spinning and weaving and knitting and more spinning and more knitting. She was known to travel with her like-minded friends to fiber and craft festivals, and she enjoyed expanding her skill set, even if she had misplaced her glasses beforehand.

Sally was involved in local events, so she probably asked you for a donation of some kind. She loved organizing events and contributing her talents to her community rather than sitting at home. She baked and fundraised and cold-called and cajoled to make things happen for her people in her community.

Sally is survived by her daughter Jamie, her son Jeff and his wife Laurie, her daughter Nicole and her husband Jefferson, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, her beloved sisters-in-law, a brother, as well as many much-loved nieces and nephews.

Sally’s family members would like to thank Pastor Josie, Sally’s church family, and her friends for all their support, kindness, and prayers, especially during the last years of Sally’s amazing life. The family also wants to give an extra special thanks to Jennifer who took care of us all.

Christina Falcone, 58, of Elk Grove Village, Illinois, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 17, 2026. She was born on April 24, 1968, in Berwyn, Illinois, the daughter of Richard Conley Sr. and Jean (Hahn) Conley.

Christina was blessed to spend the last ten years of her life with her partner, Steve Hoover. Together they shared countless laughs, unforgettable memories, and the simple joy of each other's company. Their time together was filled with love, companionship, and happiness.

Christina enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She loved watching British period dramas, adored all things Hello Kitty, and found peace in bird watching. She also enjoyed being pampered, especially having her hair and nails done, and appreciated the moments that made life feel a little more special.

She is survived by her significant other, Steve Hoover; her daughter, Samantha Falcone; along with many loving relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in Illinois.

Renee Ann Preston, beloved, wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home in Evart, Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the age of 66. Renee was born in Flint, MI on April 14, 1960 to Clark and Marcella (Sogge) Flood. As a child, Renee‘s family moved from Flushing to Sears and in 1978 she graduated from Evart High School.  On January 8, 1983 she married Glenn Preston, in Sears, and they made their home on Big Lake where they raised their family, until moving into Evart in 2002.

Renee was a licensed cosmetologist who fine tuned her techniques on her very patient husband. She worked a short time at Chemical Bank in Big Rapids  before getting a job, in the mid to late 90’s, through the Community Action  Agency, as a teacher’s aide. Renee quickly found out that being a preschool teacher was one of the most rewarding jobs she could ever think of. For over ten years she loved those kids and those kids loved her right back. Renee often referred to her time spent teaching as “her favorite years”.  She was also a familiar face at The Corner Store when she was able.

Renee tended to do things her way, was all about the grandbabies, seeing their faces light up when they saw her and spending holidays together. She was known as the “yes” grandma, and with one look, Glenn knew not to disappoint. She had a good sense of humor, fighting spirit and was the good kind of ornery.  When she was able, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing Uno attack and BINGO. Renee would often bake holiday trays and deliver them to the nurses at the cancer center and the banking staff.

Renee‘s inner strength and perseverance will be carried on in the family who survives her, this includes: her loving husband, Glenn and their children & spouses, Ryan (Rebekah) Preston and Jen (Jeffrey) Krenz; four grandchildren, Andrew and Adaline Preston & Jeffrey Jr. and Quentin Krenz, who will always remember their grandma, Renee, coming out to wave them down the road; and China Rose, their oversized English mastiff fur baby, who was equally spoiled. She’s also survived by half sisters, Anita and Ann Edwards and many aunts, uncles, extended family and friends, including sisters at Heart, Jody Marsh and Debbie Walter.

Renee was proceeded in death by her parents.

Garold M. McGowan, age 75, of Six Lakes, passed away at his home on July 19, 2026. “Gar” as he was known, was born on November 2, 1950, in Lansing, Michigan, to Howard and Zelma (Meirndorf) McGowan. He grew up in Williamston and graduated from Williamston High School. Gar proudly served in the United States Army. He was a true workaholic who spent many years dedicated to his position as a railroad track inspector. Gar was the life of the party and loved bringing people together. He especially loved celebrating the 4th of July with cornhole games and good company. He looked forward to Thursday and Friday night game nights where he shared his love of music, especially country and Elvis Presley. Gar also enjoyed driving his pontoon on the lake. In his younger years, he bowled and fished.

Gar will be deeply missed by his children, Heidi (Shaun) McGowan, and Corey (Sonia) McGowan; three grandsons, Gavin, Corey, and Caleb; his sisters, Dorrine Bach, Connie Cole, and Donna McGowan; companion and friend of many years, Linda Ekins; along with many other long-time friends.

Gar was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Zelma McGowan; his grandson, Garrett McGowan; his brother, Howard McGowan; his sisters, Roberta Hitchcock, Denelda Tanguay, and Dolores Bohneett.

David Thomas Sherman, a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and proud Air Force veteran, passed away on July 23, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on November 20, 1953, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, David lived his life with unwavering faith, integrity, and a deep commitment to his family and country. He will be eternally remembered by his beloved wife, Sherri, his children and grandchildren and treasured by his family and friends.

Throughout his life, David dedicated himself to hard work, faithfully serving in the manufacturing industry at Steelecase, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability. A true family man, he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, imparting his wisdom, patience, and love. David took joy in teaching them practical skills—from driving a stick shift to operating tractors and even shooting guns. Together, they created lasting memories while embarking on various woodworking projects and enjoying his extensive collection of toy trucks and trains.

David's spirit was marked by his sense of humor, often illuminating gatherings with playful pranks and jovial laughter. He was generous in heart and deed, always ready to lend a helping hand and share his resources with those in need. His love for his country as an Air Force veteran was a source of pride, and he instilled in others the importance of service, patriotism, and community engagement.

David is survived by: his wife Sherri (Yeasley) Sherman, his daughter Angie (Kevin) Frew and grandsons Elias and Randy, son Matt Sherman and granddaughter Temprance, daughter Katie (John) Hoyle and grandsons Liam and Caleb, brother Pat (Vicki) Sherman, LuAnn (Dan) DeBaar, Robert (Lisetta) Sherman, and sister Lila Snider.

A celebration of David's remarkable life will be held at Lakeview Community Church, where all are invited to join in honoring his legacy. It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Breann Brooke Metcalf, age 33, of Edmore, Michigan, who left us far too soon on July 17, 2026. Born on April 16th, 1993, Breann brought an abundance of light, laughter, and love into the lives of everyone she touched.

Above all of her achievements, Breann’s greatest joy, proudest accomplishment, and the absolute center of her world were her three beautiful children: Jayce, Kate, and Jo. Following the devastating loss of her fiancé and the father of her children, Timothy "Tim" Wilson, just one year ago, Breann poured every ounce of her strength, resilience, and boundless love into being both a devoted mother and a protective anchor for her babies. Her unwavering dedication to them over this past year was a testament to her beautiful, fierce heart.

Breann lived life with a vibrant, adventurous spirit, a contagious sense of humor, and a gentle kindness that left a permanent impact on anyone who crossed her path. Whether she was creating everyday magic at home or sharing a laugh with family, nothing made her happier than creating beautiful memories with the people she loved. We take profound comfort in knowing that she is now peacefully reunited in eternity with her soulmate, Tim.

Breann leaves behind a legacy of deep love. She is survived by her three cherished children, Jayce, Kate, and Jo; her loving siblings, Zackery (Heather), Megen (Adam), and Levi (Sadie); and a wide, dedicated circle of friends who will surround her children with continuous protection and love. She was preceded in death by her beloved fiancé, Timothy G. Wilson and father, Ricky Metcalf. A special thanks to Sara Chapman who was there along her side throughout her last days, supporting Bre and her family.

A Celebration of Life honoring Breann’s vibrant spirit will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the garden at Camille's Prime, located at 506 W. Broadway Street, Mt. Pleasant, MI.

Gary William Baker, age 83, of Canadian Lakes, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026.
Born on July 15, 1943, in Royal Oak, Michigan, Gary was the son of Andrew and Eileen Baker. He was a devoted husband, loving stepfather, proud papa, cherished brother, uncle, and a dear friend to many. Gary lived a life filled with adventure, accomplishment, generosity, and an unwavering love for family.
Raised in Royal Oak, Gary excelled as a student-athlete, earning varsity letters in both basketball and track while attending Dondero High School. He continued his basketball career at Central Michigan University before answering the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army. During his honorable service, Gary was stationed in Germany, where he purchased a Volkswagen and spent his leave traveling throughout Europe, beginning a lifelong passion for exploring the world.
Upon returning home to Michigan, Gary built an impressive career as an automotive design engineer. His dedication, innovation, and leadership led him to become Vice President of Autodynamics Corporation and later Chief Executive Officer of Porsche Delta Engineering. Throughout his professional career, Gary earned the respect and admiration of colleagues throughout the automotive industry.
It was during those years that Gary met the love of his life, Kathleen “Kitty” Baker. Together they shared nearly 30 wonderful years of marriage, creating homes filled with laughter, hospitality, and treasured memories in both Canadian Lakes, Michigan, and Fairfield Glades, Tennessee. Whether hosting family and friends or gathering everyone together for celebrations, Gary found great joy in bringing people together.
A gifted athlete throughout his life, Gary remained an avid sports fan, car enthusiast, and passionate golfer. His love of travel and golf took him to many remarkable destinations, including St. Andrews in Scotland, Hawaii, Myrtle Beach—where he proudly celebrated a hole-in-one—and the Olympic Games in Greece. Gary and Kitty also enjoyed traveling throughout Europe with her daughter, Kristen.
Gary’s greatest joy, however, was being “Papa.” He delighted in sharing his passions with his grandchildren, Emma and Ethan, arranging golf lessons for them in Canadian Lakes, taking them on rock-hunting adventures, giving them golf cart driving lessons, and proudly cheering them on as their biggest fan at countless competitions. His love, encouragement, and gentle guidance created memories they will carry with them forever.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Eileen Baker, and his brother, Thomas Baker.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Kathleen “Kitty” Baker; his stepdaughter, Kristin Bowler, and step son-in-law, Bill Bowler; his beloved grandchildren, Emma and Ethan Bowler; his brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Lynn Baker; his sisters and brother-in-law, Patricia Livy and Robert and Diane Webster; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and countless dear friends.

David Wayne Crispen, age 70, of Blanchard, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, with his dear friend, Sam, by his side.

David was born on December 17, 1955, to Donald and Daisy Crispen. He lived life on his own terms and found joy in the things he loved most. Whether he was out fishing, spending time on the water boating, riding his quads, or working on them in the garage, David was happiest when he was outdoors or tinkering with something he enjoyed.

A true fan of classic rock, David could never get enough of his favorite music. Pink Floyd’s Another Brick in the Wall and Heart’s Barracuda were among his favorite songs and could often be heard playing wherever he was. He was also a devoted WWF wrestling fan and rarely missed the opportunity to watch his favorite matches.

More than anything, David will be remembered as a loyal friend whose presence brought comfort and laughter to those who knew him. He leaves behind memories that will forever be cherished by those fortunate enough to have shared in his life.

David is survived by his special friend, Samantha Rafferty, and her children, Ashley, Caleb, Hannah, Emily, and Dylan, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Unified in our love for her, we, her sons and daughters, announce that Darlene Dawn Hahn broke free from her earthly bonds on Sunday, July 19, 2026, joining the love of her life, Charles Kenneth “Ken,” at the table of their heavenly Creator.

Darlene was generous with her love, and her devotion to family and faith touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She was fearless in the face of any challenge, whether it involved defending her beliefs or loved ones, confronting difficulties with her health, or finding within herself the capacity to forgive.

One of Mom’s proudest achievements grew from her own suffering and became a deeply meaningful personal ministry. She spent countless evenings creating and leading support groups for those living with panic and anxiety, with Dad faithfully at her side. Together, they often traveled well beyond their hometown each week. Her gentle kindness and ability to listen with understanding helped many people find freedom from burdens that might otherwise have stolen their joy—and, in some instances, their lives.

Darlene was born on August 12, 1942, to Conrad and Beatrice Johnson in Big Rapids. She graduated from Big Rapids High School in 1960 and married Ken Hahn on October 21, 1961. Ken and Darlene moved a house from the campus of Ferris State to its current location on Woodward Avenue, where they made it a home and raised their family.

Darlene never “settled” for the life of a homemaker. She worked outside the home throughout her life, but her greatest accomplishment was the loving home she created for her children, their friends, and countless others who experienced her nurturing love. Even after her children had grown and moved away, her home and heart remained open to them.

In her later years, Darlene continued nurturing her children through regular visits to their often-distant homes in Maine, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Ohio, Illinois, and Minnesota. She and Ken also cherished the second family that blossomed around them during their seasonal visits to Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Ken; her mother, Beatrice; her father, Conrad; her stepfather, Lester; her beloved baby sister, Connie; and her treasured nephew, Kurt.

She is survived by siblings, Darryl, Karl, Cheri, and Kerry; her children, Rick (Andrea) Hahn of Willshire, Ohio; Randy (Amanda) Hahn of Big Rapids, Michigan; Tim (Karen) Hahn of Big Rapids, Michigan; and Dawn (Thomas) Oldenburg of Bridgman, Michigan. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tasha, H’anna, Tommy, and Lily; her great-grandchildren, Payson, Max, and Alex; her very special friends, Sharon and Joe, Sandy, Tim, Mae, Vicky, Deb, and Earl; the Coffee Group; and her much-adored animal companions, Finn and Miss Kitty.

Mom, your fight—fortified by faith, love, and kindness—inspires all of us to be better in your memory. Your beautiful legacy is secure.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 25, 2026, at First United Methodist Church in Big Rapids. Darlene's family will greet friends from 5-7:30 p.m., Friday, July 24th at the church and beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

June Bernice (Ensing) Burt, age 95, passed away on July 10th, 2026, at Lakeview Terrace Assisted Living in Lakeview. She was the daughter of William and Winifred (Timmer) Ensing. She was born in Grand Rapids on October 20, 1930.

June graduated from Edmore High School in 1948. After earning a teacher's degree from Central Michigan, she taught for a few years in area country schools. She married the love of her life, (James) Frank Burt on June 21, 1950. They worked side by side at Burt's Fine Foods while raising their two children. In 1985 they retired and spent their winters in Florida. June was a member of the Edmore Faith United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School, played the piano and organ, and helped with church activities. She was also a member of the United Women in Faith.

June is preceded in death by her husband Frank, her son Jim, her brothers and their wives: Jason and Pat Ensing, Willard and MaryAnn Ensing, and Roger Ensing.

June is survived by her daughter Jean (Tony) Croll; daughter-in-law Deb Burt; grandchildren: Michael (Missy) Croll, Melissa (Pat) Yagiela, and Matthew (Nicole) Croll, and April and Alan Burt; six great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joan Rasmussen; several nieces and nephews; and her church family, along with friends at Lakeview Terrace.

Funeral services for June will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, beginning at 11 AM at Edmore Faith United Methodist Church with a visitation one hour prior to the service. There will be a Iuncheon served after the service. Burial will be in Vinewood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.

Hunter Christopher Torpey of Winn, MI. Unexpectedly passed July 10, 2026, at the age of 27. 
He was born April 19,1999 the son of Chris and Renee Torpey.

Hunter graduated from Shepherd High School in 2017. After graduating he applied and was accepted into Local 324 Operating Engineers. Became a Crane operator/AD (Assembly/Disassembly) of cranes, and worked for White Construction. Hunter had moved through the ranks with hard work and dedication. Hunter was incredibly involved in his community. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion post 240 of Blanchard. Worked the voting poles for Fremont TWP as a pole inspector. He was on the Fremont TWP Review Board. 

Hunter enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, and golfing. Spending time with all his buddies and the ladies. Hunter loved this country as he was very Patriotic. Hunter had participated with the annual Chicken BBQ that the American Legion put on during Blanchard Days for at least 17 years. He considered it a National Holiday for him. Hunter always lit up a room when he walked in. Hunter was usually the life of the party dancing wherever and with whomever would. He was kind to everyone and would do anything for anyone. Hunter was an Ordained Minister and performed a few weddings for his friends.

He is survived by his parents: Chris and Renee Torpey, Fiancé Olivia Wilson and unborn daughter, Sister Tricia Hammis, Brother Alex (Wendy) Torpey, Nephews Aris Torpey, Christian Hammis, Niece Emma Hammis. Several Aunts and Uncles, many cousins and extended family and friends. Adopted grandparents Jim and Janitha Bardos.

He was predeceased by paternal grandparents Hilton and Helen Torpey. Maternal grandparents Wallace Reichert, Connie (Carl) McQueen. Cousins Matt Reichert, Josh Gatehouse, Connor Talbert, Thomas Torpey. Uncle Joe Burch II.

Any of Hunter's friends/family that would put an American Flag flying from their vehicle on the way to the service would be appreciated as he loved our great American Flag. Please dress casually for the service.

David Lee Pettit, 69, of Big Rapids, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 16, 2026, at his home.

He was born February 7, 1957, in Big Rapids, the son of Harold Sr. and Florence (Thomas) Pettit.

David is survived by his brothers, Harold Jr. (Sue) Pettit and Joseph (Marty) Benakovich; sister Peggy (Michael) Secory; several nieces and nephews; and many other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private graveside service will be held, where David will be laid to rest next to his parents in Highland View Cemetery. Care and arrangements are entrusted to Mohnke Janowicz Funeral Home in Big Rapids.

Dorothy Ann Buikema, 85 of Big Rapids, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026.
She was born July 2, 1941.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, David (Michelle) and Brian (Sherry) Buikema; grandchildren, Logan and Savannah Buikema; brother, Russell Cottrell; sister-in-law, Linda; niece, Heather Kasamauski; nephew, Scott Cottrell; her dear friend, Kristina Schnick; and many cherished friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bernard Buikema; her parents, Clifford and Inez; brothers, Bill and Bob; and sister, Margaret.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Hospice of Michigan and the caring staff at Evergreen Terrace Assisted Living for the compassionate care and kindness they provided.

Terry Lee Parker, 47, of Stanwood, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Corewell Health Big Rapids Hospital.

Terry was born on April 20, 1979, in Big Rapids, the son of John and Wanda (Tucker) Parker.

Terry had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and especially enjoyed cutting firewood with his dad. He spent several years working in construction alongside his brother. He loved playing softball with his family, and everyone who knew him affectionately knew him as “T-Top.”

One of Terry’s favorite pastimes was taking weekly thrifting trips with his mom. He also found great joy in gardening, with onions and strawberries being among his favorite things to grow. Terry was known for his cheerful spirit, kind heart, and genuine love for everyone he met. Family was always at the center of his life, and he treasured every opportunity to spend time with those he loved. He was well known for eating homemade candy and cookies. Above all else, Terry adored his cats and cherished the time he spent with his family.

He is survived by his loving parents, John and Wanda Parker of Stanwood; his siblings, Wannetta Little of Stanwood, John Parker Jr. (Marcie Stange) of Kentucky, and Tracey (Brian) Guthrie of Stanwood; his special uncles, Donny (Timmer) Parker, and Bob (Mary) Parker; his special aunts, Mona Lile, Carol (Lonnie) Carr, and Johnna (Harold) Buchanan; as well as many other aunts and uncles, several nieces and nephews, one great-nephew, and many extended family members and friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Allen and Freda Parker, Maynard Tucker,  and Gordon and Twilla Matthes; his brother-in-law, Ron Little; Cinda (Bill) Brocker; and many more aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services celebrating Terry’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Mohnke Janowicz Funeral Home in Big Rapids. His family will greet friends from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20th, at the funeral home, and again on Tuesday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Terry will be laid to rest in Stanwood Cemetery.

Terry will be remembered for his infectious smile, generous heart, unwavering love for his family, and the kindness he shared so freely with everyone whose lives he touched.

James “Jim” Clyde Zimmerman, 67, a lifelong resident of Edmore, sadly passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2026. Jim was born on May 7,1959, to Clyde and Joan (Houts) Zimmerman. He attended school at Montabella, graduating with the Class of 1978.

Jim married Diane Haynes, and together they had three children. Known to many as "NAPA Jim," James was the longtime owner of the NAPA Auto Parts store in Vestaburg. For nearly four decades, he proudly served the community, delivering and providing auto parts and building lasting relationships with countless customers. In his younger years, Jim played in softball leagues. Outside of work, he enjoyed gardening, golfing, listening to country music, and spending time outdoors. Jim was also well known for his bike rides and walks around town, where he never missed the chance to stop and greet friends and neighbors.

Jim is survived by his children, Jamie (Jordan) Kinsey, Jessica McCray, James (Kristen) Zimmerman, and Fei (Jennie) Cai; mother of his children, Diane Zimmerman; grandchildren, Julius McCray, Lillianna and Liam Zimmerman; and his sister Tracy Ingle.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Joan Zimmerman, and sister, Janee Zimmerman.

A gathering for family and friends will be held from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Edmore, with a graveside service to follow. Jim will be laid to rest at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Boyne City next to his family.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Walter "Dick" Guzal, age 77, of Remus, Michigan, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2026.

Dick was born on March 6, 1949, in Lexington, Michigan, to Stanley and Mary (Molesworth) Guzal. As the oldest of four children in a devoted Catholic family, he was raised in Belleville, Michigan, where he developed a lifelong love of music. He proudly played the drums and one of his favorite memories was being invited during his sophomore year of high school to perform at the Big House with the U of M Marching Band.

Following high school, Dick enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1968. Excelling on aptitude tests, he pursued training in flight simulation and information technology. While serving his country, he married the love of his life, "his first wife”, Sandra Jean Rich on September 6, 1969. Their love story began on a blind date when Sandy was just 15 and Dick was 18, and together they shared 56 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion.

Dick was known for his incredible work ethic and willingness to tackle any challenge. Throughout his career, he worked as a drywall installer, siding contractor, television repairman, short-order cook, and successful real estate agent after earning his real estate license in the early 1980s. Following his honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1972, he continued working in information technology for several companies and eventually owned his own computer software and logistics businesses.

Above all, Dick was devoted to his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandy (Rich) Guzal; his children, Rick (Emily) Guzal, Cyndi (Lionel) MacKenzie, and Ryan (Hallie) Guzal; daughter-in-law Jenn Fox; grandchildren Austin, Grant, and Ashley Guzal; Spencer, Seth, Sam, Olivia, and Olexa MacKenzie; Owen, Ben, and Ella Guzal; his sisters, Sister Helen (Ruth Anne Guzal) of the Holy Cross and Larene (Mark) Odom.

He was preceded in death by his cherished daughter, Sarah Jean Guzal; his brother, Doug Guzal; his mother, Mary Rechis; stepfather, Al Rechis; and father, Stan Guzal.

Dick embraced life with enthusiasm and adventure. Alongside Sandy, he spent more than 30 years sailing their sailboats, creating treasured memories on the water. He was a certified scuba diver, an avid hunter, and faithfully traveled to Colorado every October for 43 consecutive years. Whether at home or traveling, Dick never met a stranger. Friends often joked that he knew someone everywhere he went—a true example of "three degrees of separation."

Among his karaoke friends, he was affectionately known as "Diamond Dick" for his unforgettable renditions of Neil Diamond classics. His kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and genuine interest in others made lasting impressions on everyone he met. He was a phenomenal friend who never forgot to check in on those he cared about and a loving husband, father, grandfather, and role model.

Dick’s funeral mass will be held on July 17, 2026 at St. Michael Catholic Church at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral mass. Father Michael Alber as Celebrant.

Dick's legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the friendships he cultivated, and the countless lives he touched with his warmth, generosity, and love. Renee "Langell" Rohloff, 72, of Chippewa Lake, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026. She was born on July 23, 1953, in Detroit, the daughter of John and Virginia Langell, owners of the Sweet Note.

Renee moved to Chippewa Lake at a young age, where she built a life filled with lifelong friendships, family, and countless memories. She worked as a field supervisor for MichCon, excelling in a predominantly male profession through her hard work, determination, and leadership. Her dedication earned the respect of those who worked alongside her and paved the way for others to follow.

Renee enjoyed baking, gardening, and writing. She loved finding a great bargain and being prepared. She also enjoyed traveling, but nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and spoiling her pets.

She is survived by her children, Chad McNeilly, Missy Rohloff, and Olivia Woods; grandchildren, Dylan McNeilly, Kaleena McNeilly, Alana McNeilly, Faith McNeilly, and Eva Woods; her former husband, David Rohloff; her best friend, Lee "ennael" Bodbyl; along with numerous extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jon McNeilly; and her siblings, Virginia Tabor and Jack Langell.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Homes in Big Rapids.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

She will be laid to rest at Chippewa Lake Cemetery.

Edward Joseph “Tex” Powley, 73, of Big Rapids, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

Ed was born April 1, 1953, in Laurel, Maryland, the son of Donald and Maxine (McGuire) Powley, and moved to Flint as a child. He spent many years working on the assembly line for General Motors before retiring and moving to Big Rapids 20 years ago.

Known to family and friends as “Tex,” Edward was a proud member of the Big Rapids AMVETS Post 1941. He enjoyed the friendships he made through the organization and treasured the time spent with his family. His greatest joy in life was his beloved granddaughter, Ella, who lovingly knew him as “Pop Pop.” The bond they shared brought him immense happiness.

Ed is survived by his children, Joseph Edward Powley and Olivia Rose Powley; his cherished granddaughter, Ella Powley; his brothers, Tom (Maria) and Don (Betty) Powley; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Terry, and his sister, Diane.
A memorial service celebrating Ed’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Mohnke Janowicz Funeral Home in Big Rapids, with Pastor Mark Gilson officiating. His family will greet friends beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Ed’s remains will be buried in the Hungerford Cemetery.

Danny L. Cook, 76, of Barryton, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026. He was born on June 28, 1950, in Edmore, the son of Lawrence Cook and Ruth Daily.

On April 25, 1980, he was united in marriage to Patricia Whaley. Together they shared a life rooted in hard work, family, and the farm they loved.

Danny was a lifelong farmer through and through. His life revolved around the farm, caring for tractors, backhoes, horses, cattle, and pigs. He looked forward to the end of each farming season, only to eagerly anticipate the beginning of the next. Farming wasn't just his occupation—it was his way of life.

For several years, Danny faithfully served as sexton of East Fork Cemetery. He also enjoyed deer hunting, taking the occasional trip, and spending time teasing his nieces and nephews. Above all, he cherished the presence of his family and the simple moments they shared together.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; siblings, Beverly Belding, Harold (Sharon) Cook, and Janie Roe; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Connie Orderiway, Larry Cook, Sharon Anderson, Douglas Harper, and David Harper.

Cremation has taken place, and no services are planned at this time.

Rex Allen Forbes, 73 of Evart, passed away unexpectedly at home on June 25, 2026. Rex was born in Reed City, MI on November 15, 1953 to Allen and Ethel (Vanderhoef) Forbes. Rex graduated from Evart High School in 1971.

In the early 80’s Rex honorably served in the United States Air Force. He worked in maintenance at Evart Products until his retirement. In recent years he was a familiar face at Dollar General.

Rex loved to laugh and was quick to smile. He was the kind of guy that made you feel comfortable to be around. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, cribbage, and a good game of euchre.

Rex is survived by: sons, Jerome and Jason Forbes, of Big Rapids; his sister, Dorothea Haynes, who later passed on June 28th; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Rex was preceded in death by: his wife, Judy M. Forbes, in 2023; siblings, Doreen Dellar, Deloris Malcolm & Ray Forbes and his parents.

Mr. David Heemstra, age 78 passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at home in Reed City, MI. David was born Dec. 28, 1947, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to, the late, Charles and Bessie (DeVivo) Heemstra. David was raised in Wyoming, MI where he made his home until moving to Reed City in October 2024. In 1976, David married Judy Cichon who preceded him in death in 2015. Although he went to college to be a teacher, he retired as a machine operator from General Motors. David will be remembered for his generosity and laid-back, easy-going personality.

David is survived by his significant other, Joan Longcore; one brother, Jerry (Liz) Heemstra; one sister, Karen (Dale) Kreuzer; niece, Karla Heemstra; nephew, Kevin Heemstra; family at heart, Joan’s daughter, Cassie and her son, Reid who will always cherish the memories they have, several cousins and special friends, Jenni Fenstemaker & Brandon Peckham.

Linda Marcella Luce, 83, of Big Rapids, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at The Brook in Big Rapids.

Linda was born on March 13, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Carl and Loretta
(Byrnes) Glazier. Loretta moved her family back to Big Rapids after Carl’s death, where Linda met and married the love of her life, Richard “Dick” Luce. The couple lived in Kansas City for about a year before settling in the Paris area where they built a life together filled with family, faith, and lasting friendships.

A faithful member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church since the early 1980s, Linda lived her life with generosity, creativity, and a heart for others. Throughout the years she wore many hats. She was a talented hairdresser, enjoyed creating beautiful wedding cakes, was an exceptional cook, and loved sewing. She and Dick shared a passion for square dancing, and she was never afraid of hard work, helping him drywall and remodel seven or eight homes.

Linda also found great joy driving a school bus, beginning her career with the Big Jackson School District and then for Big Rapids Public Schools. She cherished the opportunity to interact with the children each day and loved being part of their lives. One of her greatest pleasures after retirement was spending the winter months in Florida with Dick, making memories together in the sunshine.

Known for her feisty and sassy personality, Linda paid attention to every detail and had a remarkable artistic touch in everything she did. She loved hosting dinners, card parties, and celebrations, bringing family and friends together whenever she could. Her quick wit, love of a good joke, and wonderful sense of humor made her the life of many gatherings and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Linda is survived by her children, Ken (Becky) Luce, Loretta (Ken) Jeffries, and Kyle (Joni) Luce; grandchildren, Greg (Lindsey) and Travis Luce, Evan (Lizzie Kuhns) Luce, Daniel (Taylor) Jeffries, Olivia (Hunter) Burden, and Kelly Jeffries, and Levi (Samantha) and Jesse Luce; 14 great-grandchildren; her sister, Nancy Eddy; and many extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick”, in 2019; her parents; and five siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Big Rapids. The family will greet friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13th, at the Mohnke Janowicz Funeral Home in Big Rapids, and again on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Burial will follow at Whipple Cemetery, where Linda will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband.

Michael K. Bowring passed away at The Orchards of Big Rapids on July 8, 2026. He was born on August 1, 1962. He leaves behind several caregivers at The Orchards who will miss him dearly. 

Nobody came forward to claim Michael. Knowing him, thats probably because he had already adopted everyone else first. He had no family anyone could find, but you’d never know it from the way he lived. He collected people the way some people collect stamps.

Nurses, aides, housekeepers, therapists and other residents and staff... If you crossed his path twice you were probably considered a friend, whether you agreed to the promotion or not. He had a talent for making people laugh, usually with a sarcastic remark that danced right along the edge of what he could get away with. Somehow, he always got away with it.

In the end there was no long line of relatives - but there were plenty of people that will remember hearing his voice down the hall sharing a laugh or shaking their heads trying not to smile after one of his comments.

Life can be unfair sometimes. The people with the fewest posessions leave behind the most stories.

Victor Allen Britton, a beloved family man and devoted friend, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on August 19, 1953, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Victor grew up with a spirit full of adventure and a heart overflowing with love for his family and friends.

Victor was a passionate individual, known for his love of hunting and fishing, and for the enjoyment he found in playing dice with those he cherished. He dedicated 35 years of his life as a line operator at General Motors, where his work ethic and commitment were renowned among his colleagues.

His greatest joy came from his family; he was a great uncle who loved his nieces and nephews. His big heart and warm spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Victor is survived by: one sister Donna Cole (Mark) and two brother's Lorenzo Britton (Sue) Roy Britton Jr (Carol) and several nieces and nephews (great and great-great) and cousins.

Richard Otto Blankstrom Jr., age 83, of Big Rapids, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2026, with his loving family by his side.

Richard was born on June 26, 1943, to Richard and Viola Blankstrom. He lived a life defined by faith, family, service, and a deep love for the outdoors. Whether he was casting a fishing line on a quiet lake or spending time hunting in the woods, Richard found peace and happiness in nature. Fishing and hunting were among his greatest passions and provided countless treasured memories with family and friends.

Richard proudly served his country in the United States Navy for two years aboard the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk. He was honored to have served his nation and remained proud of his military service throughout his life.

Above all, Richard was a man of faith. He loved the Lord and faithfully served his church for many years. He especially cherished the fellowship of the men's group, where he enjoyed helping with projects around the church and serving others with a generous heart. His quiet humility, dependable spirit, and willingness to lend a helping hand were hallmarks of his character.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Dorothea "Dolly" Blankstrom; his brother, Gregory (Debbie) Blankstrom; his sister, Barbara (Bill) Robinson; and his children, Brad (Holly) Blankstrom, Missi (Jack) Samkowiak, Kathy Huntley, Rick (Sara) Blankstrom, and Matt (Nicole) Blankstrom.

He was a proud grandfather to Austin, Harry, Cameron, Chrisse, Garrett, Kayla, C.J., Annabelle, Colton, Ryan, and Joslyn, and a loving great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Viola Blankstrom; his sister, Shirley; and his son, Rob Mayer.

Richard will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, faithful friend, and servant of God. His love for his family, dedication to his faith, and appreciation for the beauty of God's creation left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. His legacy of kindness, strength, and quiet service will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 12775 Northland Drive, Big Rapids, Michigan 49307.

Steven Ray Harris, 74, of Elmira, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, July 5, 2026. He was born, January 18, 1952, and raised in Fremont, MI, the son of Raymond and Jearline (Evans) Harris. Steven joined the US Army, proudly serving his country before being honorably discharged. In 1988 he moved up north to continue growing his family with his beloved wife Ida.

A workaholic countryman, Steven loved to not only do construction and masonry work, but he was a motor head and loved classic cars and working on them. A true jack of all trades, Steven had a gift for working with his hands and could tackle just about any project. He was especially skilled in construction and masonry and enjoyed all aspects of building a home. Whether it was repairing, creating, or solving a problem, Steven was always ready to lend a helping hand. While he was quick to help others, he rarely wanted help himself.

Steven found great joy in fishing and gardening, but nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving, caring, and generous husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was honest and truthful, a little stubborn at times, and someone who could always find a solution to life’s challenges. His quiet strength, dependable nature, and willingness to help others will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Steven is survived by his beloved wife, Ida Harris; sons, Jamie (Lindsey) Harris, Raymond (Shasta) Harris, Justin Harris, and Daniel (Amanda) Harris; daughter, Kayla (Sheldon) Rattigan; brother, Richard Harris; sisters, Kimberly Harris and Gail Evans; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Mohnke Janowicz Funeral Home in Big Rapids. Steven’s family will greet friends at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Goodwell Township Cemetery, where Steven will be laid to rest beside his father.

Paula Jean Fralick, 69, of Charlevoix passed away peacefully at her home on July 6th surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Paula was born on June 17, 1957 to William and Phyllis Robinson in Detroit, MI. She grew up with 5 older siblings and 38 cousins, all whom she loved and cherished very much.

Paula enjoyed spending time with her family as much as she could. She was an amazing cook and in her healthier years loved hosting large gatherings and parties for her friends and family. She enjoyed spending time soaking up the sun with a drink in her hand and spending time with her very close circle of girlfriends. Every year for over 30 years, Paula’s girl cousins would get together and have a fun weekend or week which Paula loved being a part of. Those family ties and “Cuzzie Time” were very special to her. Paula worked at the Flight Deck Bar and Charlevoix Area Hospital for many years and met many of her close friends there.

Paula is survived by her two children Colleen (Steve) Sitzema and Robert Fralick. Paula had 4 grandchildren- Paige Montgomery, Leah Fralick, Brenden Fralick, and Logan Fralick. Her grandchildren gave her 7 beautiful great grandchildren, who were the lights of her life- Kree, Kinslee, Steviana, Zachariah, Benjamin, Kaciee, and the newest beautiful addition, Riley. Paula is also survived by her sister Karen (Phillip) Camp, who was also very near and dear to Paula’s heart. Paula will also be lovingly remembered as a cherished aunt to several nieces and nephews.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers Timothy and John (Jack), and 2 sisters Theresa and Kathleen.

May Lilie Woods of Chase, MI passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 83 on Monday, July 6, 2026.

Lilie, as she was known to most, was born on August 4, 1942, to parents Gladys (Batchelder) and John Woods in Nirvana Michigan.  She grew up as the youngest of 10 children, having four brothers and five sisters.  She attended school in her early years at the Nirvana School house and graduated from Baldwin High School.

Most of her life was spent living on the family farm, only spending a short time away from the farm in Muskegon, Michigan where she and her sisters went to stay with their brother John during the war to attend school.  She returned to Nirvana to live and work while enjoying her passions of all thing’s woodworking, hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and horseback riding or driving her team of horses. She had a constant faith in God that she attributed to her mother’s upbringing and shared her belief with all who would listen.

She spent many hours with her family researching and building a stagecoach they could take in the Bicentennial parades in 1976 and in the years after. They enlisted many family members to participate as outriders, drive the coach with her team of horses, ride inside and take photos along the route. All of their efforts paid off with the trophies they won and ribbons brought home. Even after giving up taking the coach in parades, she still enjoyed having a good team of horses so she could take the family on hayrides and sleigh rides at family gatherings.

Violet Marie Brisboy, age 88, of Blanchard, Michigan, passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side on July 5, 2026.
Born on July 31, 1937, in Remus, Michigan, Violet was the cherished daughter of Sylvester and Hilda Heckard. She devoted her life to her family as a loving homemaker, caregiver, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Her greatest joy was caring for those she loved, and the legacy of her kindness and devotion will continue through the generations she leaves behind.
In 1960, Violet married the love of her life, Phil Brisboy, and together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories.
Violet embraced life’s simple pleasures. She had a lifelong love of dancing and music, and her face would light up whenever a favorite tune began to play. She possessed a remarkable green thumb and found great happiness tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. She especially adored hummingbirds and could often be found watching them flutter around the many feeders she lovingly maintained. Violet was known for her quirky personality, wonderful sense of humor, and the warmth she shared with everyone around her. She also loved baking and delighted in sharing her homemade treats with family and friends.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Ted Brisboy and Brian Brisboy; her sister and brother-in-law, Bernice and Lawrence Castelein; her grandchildren, Chasidy Forquer, Shannon Helms, and Jeremy Royce; her great-grandchildren, Bradley (Anna) Joshua, Hannah (Cody), Devon, James, Dustin, and Ashtin; five great-great-grandchildren, with one more precious blessing expected soon; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

David William Ayriss Jr., 62, passed away on July 5, 2026. He was born in Grand Rapids on February 21, 1964 to David William Ayriss Sr. and Ruth Ann (Blawkamp) Ayriss.

The great outdoors was Dave's favorite place to be. He enjoyed the thrill of hunting and fishing, as well as the peace found in gardening. Dave was a talented sportsman.

Left to cherish his memory are Dave's mother, Ruth Ayriss; brothers: Scott (Shirley) Ayriss and Bryan (Sandra) Ayriss; as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father.

Arrangements are in the care of Daggett Gilbert Funeral Homes, Big Rapids. The funeral will take place at the funeral home on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held one hour prior, beginning at 10:00 AM. David will be laid to rest at Parkhill Cemetery in Paris, Michigan, and a luncheon will follow at the Morley American Legion.

Joyce Irene Platz beloved and treasured, mother grandmother, great & great-great grandmother, Aunt, cousin and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Wexford Senior Care Center in Cadillac. Mrs. Platz was 95 and never stopped smiling, never lost her spunk, and never stopped showing what perseverance was. She loved her family and they loved her right back. With Joyce you were only a stranger if you chose to be.

Joyce loved farming, gardening, bingo, the casino and most of all feeding the birds, deer and bears. She also liked her game shows. She knew how to forage and taught her children how to live off of the land.

Joyce was born April 9, 1931, in Ann Arbor, Michigan and raised in Hoxeyville where she graduated high school in 1950. She was the daughter of Neva L. (Bigelow) Williams and raised by her grandparents, Ernest and Goldia Bigelow.

On September 7, 1953 in Cadillac she married Oscar Platz and they made their home and raised their family near Boon.

Oscar and Joyce always had dogs that they raised. After his passing in 2007 she kept this tradition up, the breed just got smaller- Chihuahua small. In the litter from 2010 one pup stood out, a black and white one, she lovingly named Midget. The last few weeks have been hard on both of them and with Joyce’s passing, Midget could use some good vibes.

Left to treasure the memories they have are: her brother, David (Carmen) Williams of Grantville, GA; seven children, Pauline (Mark) Giberson of Mesick, Rex (Lisa) Platz of Cadillac, Lem (Melissa O’Brien) Platz of Copemish, Mark Platz of Boon, Penny (Buzz) Yaklin of Weidman, Patsy Platz of Frankfort and Patti (Steve) McBrian of Boon; 16 grandkids over 23 great grandkids, four great-great grandkids; Midget and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by: daughter, Kay Platz in 1953, son, Danny Platz in 2013; grandson, Billy Platz in 2012; great granddaughter, Allyssa McBrian in 2011; husband and parents.

A celebration of life will take place at 1 PM, July 26th at the Henderson Township Hall , ,2076 W. 46 Rd., Cadillac, MI 49601. Joyce will be laid to rest at Bankers Cemetery both in Hoxeyville.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bobby Sexton, who left us peacefully on July 3, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on June 18, 1942, Bobby was a man of simple joys and profound love. He cherished the beauty of nature, spending countless hours fishing, especially during the winter months when he found solace in the serenity of ice fishing. Bobby had a zest for life that extended to country rides with his beloved brother, Bill, as well as the freedom of cycling through the countryside.

Music flowed through Bobby's spirit; he skillfully played both the harmonica and guitar, bringing joy to those around him. His laughter and melodies will be missed dearly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Bobby is survived by his loving siblings: sisters Susan Gyger and Sandra Hoffman, and brothers Bill (Mary Ann) Sexton, Al (Carolyn) Sexton, and Randy Sexton. He is preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Sexton, and sister Brenda.

Bobby's journey continues in the hearts of those who loved him. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you reflect on your own cherished moments with Bobby, perhaps sharing them with friends and family, keeping his loving spirit alive.

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our loving father, Lawrence F. Carroll on July 9, 2026. He was surrounded by his children during his last weeks and as he passed into the hands of God following the brief suffering in terminal illness. 

Larry was born January 6, 1939 in Lakeview, MI. He graduated high school in Big Rapids in 1957. In school, he fell in love with golf, a love that carried through to the end. He was proud of his time as a caddie in Big Rapids, and proud of his hole-in-one at that course as a teenager. He was once named caddie of the year. He was also very proud of the time spent with his grandfather surveying and building a cabin in the Newaygo area along the Little Muskegon River. 

He joined the military after high school, served 8 years in the USAF where he met his first wife, Jean, in Sioux City, IA where they were both stationed. He served in Korea as military police. After the military, he worked as a diesel mechanic and later a truck driver. Two of his sons and one grandson followed his example and served in the military. He always worked very hard to provide for his family, often working more than one job at a time. He instilled in his children the importance of working hard, sometimes to a fault. 

Along with working tirelessly, his sons learned the art of mechanics and craftsmanship, including his son, John, who enjoys building race cars. He always supported his youngest daughter, Ann, in all her ventures in sports and orchestra, sacrificing what little time he had so he could be a part of her activities. He enjoyed visiting Joe and Karen and their families out of state, always insisting on driving (for the love of the road). He was happiest when surrounded by his family, or with a set of golf clubs in his hands, of course. 

Larry was preceded in death by his first wife Ida Jean, and his second wife Joan Louise. He is survived by his five children, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. He always loved his family, longed to have his grandchildren as a part of his life, though some separated by hundreds of miles. He greatly enjoyed talking about golf and mechanics to anyone who shared his interests.

He was often quiet, yet he could be quite stubborn and grumpy (we love you, dad!). Deep down, he was a kind heart and would always help his family and friends to the best of his abilities. He fought hard to be as independent as possible, and not to burden his children. In the end, the love of his family endures forever as he peacefully passed on. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be on July 22, 2026 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church located at 4101 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming, MI 49509. Visitation will be from 10:00am-11:00am followed by Catholic Mass at 11:00am with military honors. Luncheon will be served after mass. 

David "Howie" Russell Coleman was born on July 18, 1943, and passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, at the age of 82. David was a remarkable son, father, grandfather, neighbor, and friend whose life was defined by kindness, generosity, and service to others. He never sought recognition, yet he touched countless lives through quiet acts of compassion, a helping hand, and genuine friendships. To know David was to know someone who always put others first. He loved the United Methodist Church, read his Bible daily and would listen to the sermons online when he couldn’t attend.

David graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1961 and later earned his degree from Northland College in 1966. He dedicated much of his professional life to Gogebic Community College, where he faithfully served the students and community in many roles over the years, including instructor, Off-Campus Student Services Coordinator, Manager of the Lindquist Center, Assistant Athletic Director, and in Student Housing. No matter the position, David was known for his unwavering work ethic, willingness to help wherever he was needed, and the genuine care he showed everyone he met.

Sports were one of David's greatest passions. He spent many years as a respected basketball referee and umpire, and could always be found supporting local athletes and teams. He loved watching the horse races. He also was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, he proudly attended the legendary Ice Bowl, a memory he treasured throughout his life. He was also an avid supporter of the University of Connecticut Women's Basketball program, traveling to numerous NCAA championship games with his dear friend, Kari Jacquart.

When he wasn't cheering from the sidelines, David found joy outdoors. He loved gardening, landscaping, feeding the birds and squirrels, and creating welcoming spaces wherever he lived. He was the kind of neighbor who checked in on others, offered help without being asked, and quietly made life better for those around him.

Family was at the center of David's life. He loved supporting his children. In later years, after moving to be closer to family, he especially enjoyed attending his grandsons' activities and continuing to cheer on those he loved most. He was always up for an adventure, traveling to away games, searching for treasures at craft fairs or just heading out for a sweet treat. Whether it was a sporting event, a school function, or simply spending time together, David was happiest when surrounded by family.

David will be remembered for his gentle spirit, quiet humility, unwavering generosity, and servant's heart. He never hesitated to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or brighten someone's day with a simple act of kindness. He formed lifelong friendships, treated everyone with respect, and left every place he lived better than he found it. His legacy is not only found in the lives of his family, but also in coworkers, neighbors, friends, and community members who were blessed to know him.

David is survived by his children, Lynn Coleman, Kevin (Andrea) Coleman, and Jennifer (Brian) Goodman; his beloved grandsons, Michael Goodman and Steven Goodman; his brother-in-law, John Thayer; and his nieces, Melissa Thayer and Meghan Thayer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Jr. and Margaret Coleman, and his sister, Bonnie Thayer.

A graveside service and interment will be held at Ironwood Riverside Cemetery on July 17 at 1:00 p.m., where David will be laid to rest alongside his beloved parents. Family and friends are then invited to gather at 3:00 p.m. at the Ironwood Wesley United Methodist Church to share some of David's favorite foods as we celebrate his life and honor a man whose kindness, generosity, and love for others will never be forgotten. Guests are encouraged to wear Green Bay Packers or UConn attire in David's honor.

Christina Mary Frick, better known as Christy, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026 at Arbor Grove Assisted Living and Memory Care in Alma. Christy was 72.

Christy was born on May 4, 1954 in Mount Pleasant, Michigan to Otto and Anna (Vogel) Frick. In 1972, she graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Mount Pleasant. Christy went on to receive her Associates degree in Accounting for Mid Michigan Community College and a Bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University.

In 1978 she started as a part-time teller and part-time bookkeeper at GraCo Federal Credit Union and worked her way up to Assistant Manager. She was responsible for balancing the general ledger accounts, cash ordering, preparing financial statements, and assisting outside auditors and examiners. In 1986 the opportunity arose for her to be an auditor at Bradley G Krystal and Associates. She took the job covering five different states, reporting her findings to the Supervisory Committees and/or Board of Directors. One year of that was plenty and she found herself back at GraCo, where she worked until 1995. From 1995 to 2001, she was the assistant manager at Centel Credit Union in Owosso. For three months, in 2001, she worked for Gloria Tucker Tax Service in Clare. Christy finished out her working career as the Compliance Manager at Keystone Property Management in Mount Pleasant, where she worked until December 2024.

Christy was a member of the Michigan Credit Union League Family Involvement Council for 12 years; past member, treasurer, vice-president and president of Paul-Arn Chapter of the American Business Women's Association; and actively involved with the Owosso Community and Gratiot County Players.

Christy’s hobbies included, crocheting, knitting, NASCAR and other races. She was also a Stamping Up card demonstrator.

Christy was proceeded in death by: her parents, Otto in 2003 and Anna Marie in 2011; brother-in-law, Keith Hagen in 2025; and great nephew, Theodore Rex Salinas in 2024.

Christy is survived by: siblings, Kathleen Hagen of Alma, Susan (Glynn) Russell of Evart, John (Sheri) Frick of Evart; nephews, Dale Thatcher Jr. of Tennessee and Ricky Oda of Phoenix, AZ; nieces, Darcy Daggy and family of Evart and Heather Oda of Temple, GA.

Frederick James Karns, age 94 of Hersey Twp., passed away on July 1, 2026 at Corewell Health Big Rapids Hospital. Fred was born in Reed City, Michigan, on October 17, 1931 to Frederick P. and Esther (Holmquist) Karns. He graduated from Reed City High School in 1949 and entered into the United States Navy. He proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in 1956.

On October 30, 1964 he married Linda L. Gibson at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Reed City. Fred and Linda hadn’t known each other long before their marriage, but it was a marriage meant to last. It was a marriage based on trust, commitment and understanding. They built their house together with their own four hands. Fred and Linda often sang together. He loved old songs, carols, and Christian songs.

Fred was an avid reader of author Louis L'Amour. He loved to write poetry and had a couple of works published. He was a talented, self-taught artist, often drawing and painting, portraits and landscapes. He loved Sudoku puzzles and most of all was a devout Christian.

Fred was eagerly anticipating the coming of the Lord and is with Jesus now and happy.

Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Linda; adopted son, Kelly Karns; one daughter, Kristie (Paul) Benjamin; three siblings, Joan (Larry) Herring, & Richard and David Karns; two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many extended family and friends. Fred loved animals, including his grand cat, Harley.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Esther; siblings, Gertrude (Paul) Johns, Parmer (Ethel) Karns, Arnold (Marleah) Karns, Margaret “Peggy” (Jack) Rambadt, Arlene (Verr) Rambadt, Naomi (Lloyd) Jobes, Norman (Cheryl) Karns and Maxine Mund and sisters-in-law, Richard's first wife, Joan and second wife, Cathy and David's wife, Mona Karns.

Robert Lewis Purchase, 81 of Big Rapids, passed away, Friday, June 25, 2026, at Intercept where he had resided the last few months.

Robert was born on September 19, 1944, in Ashton, Michigan to Ivan and Lois (Smith) Purchase where he was raised. Robert worked at Morley Tool and Die for several years before moving to Tennessee. In 2022 it was time to come back to Michigan to be closer to family.

Robert was always tinkering with something, enjoyed small engine repair and woodworking. He loved animals, a fresh cup of coffee and spending time with family. Robert was the king of corny jokes and never met a stranger. Hugs, hugs and more hugs. He saw the value in giving a good hug and receiving a good hug.

The Lord touched him and he slept, leaving behind a legacy of love. Robert is survived by: his life partner of fifty-three years, Linda Purchase and her daughter’s Cindy (Dan) Sigmund of Big Rapids and Bobbi (Tom) Borrink of Evart; four grandsons, Timothy (Brittany Woodard) Booher, Matthew Sigmund, Nathan Sigmund, and Brandon Estes; two great granddaughters, Scarlet and Ireland; his dog “Buddy” who seriously misses his daily walks with Bob; and many nieces and nephews extended family and close friends.

With the passing of Everett Wayne Pardee on Friday. July 3, 2026 this life will never be the same. He was tenacious, knowledgeable about so many things and had a big heart. Everett was always there if you needed a mechanic and willingly helped people who couldn't afford to get their car fixed. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and motorcycles. His quick wit came in handy at flea markets where he ultimately got the best deal or bartered his way to it.

Everett was well respected when he worked on the rigs and most recently Waterwell Solutions - Local 150, where he retired from. In Alabama he proudly supported the motorcycle group, Riders for Riders.

Everett was born in Lansing, on May 2, 1968 to Harley and Janis (Byron) Pardee. At a young age they moved to the Barryton area where he attended Chippewa Hills. On February 19, 2000 he married Lori Hanson at the Barryton Church of God. They made their home throughout the Barryton area before moving to Alabama in 2015 where he worked as a handyman and mechanic. In 2023 Lori and Everett moved back home to be closer to family and made their home in Lake.

If it is possible, we imagine he is on his bike, with a huge smile on his face, doing something like- selling ice to Eskimos in the middle of the coldest winter.

Everett will be forever loved by those who survive him, this includes: his loving wife of 26 years, Lori of Lake; children, Zackery (Courtney) of Ithaca, Rebecka (Michael) of Holt and Kailey (Derrick) of Alabama; grandchildren, Oliver, Bonnie, Taylor, Ali, Keigyn, Marshall and Liam; his brother, Eric and his children, Jessie (Taylor) and Daniel; his sister, Deanna and her son, Harley Joe (Kendra); his faithful canine companion, Ziggy and several great nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Everett was preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Janis and paternal and maternal grandparents, Robin and Maude (Ankney) Pardee and Ray and Rosanna (Williams) Byron.

After a life of faith, Sally Larsen Fickes peacefully went home to be with the Lord on June 27, 2026, and now rejoices in the peace and joy of Heaven.

Preceded in death are Sally’s parents, Albert and Beatrice (Cousineau) Larsen. Her in-laws, L. Allan  & Helen (McMillen) Fickes.

Sally went to Big Jackson, a one room schoolhouse, through the eighth grade. She went onto high school in big Rapids and was on the honor roll all four years. Sally has kept friendships thriving with classmates throughout the years. She attended Ferris for two years and then went on to continue her education (with a toddler daughter and an infant son), at Saginaw Valley. Graduating with Summa cum laude.

Sally and David Fickes married on March 13, 1970. They lived their first few months in Big Rapids, before moving to Saginaw for 30 years. Retiring & moving to Lake Mecosta for the past 25 years. 

As a loving stay at home, mother, Sally’s home became a second home too many, as she cared for her children and warmly embrace their friends as though they were part of her own family.  

Sally was a very talented quilter, and a member of  the Canadian Lakes Quilting club. She played in euchre and bridge clubs and loved doing puzzles and going boating. Sally would sit at the front of the speed boat, and say “faster, go faster!  

She volunteered time as the church treasurer for her church in  Saginaw, for 12 years. After moving to Mecosta, she volunteered at her church here. She loved to travel and has visited Paris.

Surviving Sally, is her husband of 56 years, David. Daughter, Carrie (Steve) Solomon, their children Asher and Sadie. Son, Dan Fickes and his 3 daughters, Anna, Isabella and Aylea. Sally’s sisters June (Lee) Fickes, and Beth (Phillip) Morse. Brothers- in- law Will (Dianne Carty) Fickes, and Paul (Annette VanDomelen). Along with many nieces and nephews who will truly miss her.

The family would like to thank Cate Parker for the care she gave Sally for the past 3 years. And thank you to the staff at Big Rapids Field Memory Care Facility, for the care this past year!

Ula Keeler, 96, of Vestaburg, passed away at her home with family by her side on Friday, July 3, 2026. Ula Mae Carrick was born on December 1, 1929, in Mount Morris, to parents Frank and Mildred. At a young age, Ula’s family moved to the Vestaburg area, where she grew up and graduated with the class of 1948 from Vestaburg High School. She started her career teaching in Wyman for one year and then drove school bus for Head Start and Vestaburg Community Schools for 14 years. Ula was a caring and wonderful woman. She married Harold Nokes on June 15, 1949, and they spent 23 years together before his passing in 1973. Later, she married David Cutler in 1979, until his passing in 1983. Then, she married Al Keeler in 1984, and they spent 32 precious years together before his passing in 2016. Ula was a member of the Cornerstone Worship Center and active in garden club at Rock Lake and involved in Royal Neighbors in Sumner. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crafting, gardening, flowers, camping, fishing, and horseback riding

Ula will be missed by her son, Mike (Rachel) Nokes of Barryton; stepchildren Linda (Jerry) Kilmer of Vestaburg, Don (Faith) Keeler of Arizona, Stan (Valorie) Keeler of Missouri, and Mark (Cheryl) Keeler of Byron Center, 16 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Vanessa Savage of Lake City, Florida, and Linda Anderson of Mount Pleasant; and brothers, Darrell (Virginia) Carrick New York, and Ernest (Cookie) Carrick of Belaire.

Ula was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; daughters Mary Ann Nokes, and Cheryl DeForest; son Carson Nokes; as well as sister Emma; and brothers Kenneth, Russell, Richard, Gordon, and Melvin.

A funeral for Ula will be held at Cornerstone Worship Center on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Don Wolf officiating. Margaret Elizabeth Curtis, 74, passed away peacefully at home on June 23, 2026, with her husband by her side, just as he had been through nearly 55 years of marriage.

Born on December 27, 1951, in Battle Creek, Michigan, Margaret was the daughter of Robert C. and Hazel L. Hustwick. She and her husband, Mark, grew up living less than a mile away from each other and first met while attending junior high school. Mark would often say it was love at first sight. They were married on August 14, 1971, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Battle Creek and went on to build an amazing life together centered on faith, family, service, and unconditional love. Margaret’s strength of character, sharp intellect, unwavering convictions, and constant encouragement shaped not only her husband and children but everyone who was fortunate enough to know her.

After earning both bachelor’s and master’s degrees, Margaret dedicated her career to serving others. She worked as a teacher, a jail educator, and a substance abuse counselor, always investing herself in helping people find hope, healing, and opportunity. Whether in her profession or in her personal life, she possessed a remarkable ability to encourage others with wisdom, compassion, and quiet strength.

Throughout her life, Margaret was a pillar of resilience. She endured physical pain with extraordinary grace, rarely allowing her own struggles to overshadow her concern for others. She found joy in reading, tending her gardens, collecting rocks, and spending countless hours in and around the lake with those she loved.

Margaret often told her cherished family and friends that she had lived a wonderful life and had witnessed many of God’s miracles. Her faith sustained her throughout her life and brought her great peace in her final days.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Robert C. and Hazle L. Hustwick.

She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Mark; her children, Aaron Curtis and Leah Lytle; her beloved granddaughters, Jessica and Justine Lytle; her brother, Bishop David T. Hustwick (Susan); her sister, Rebecca Fairfax (Michael); and many extended family members and dear friends whose lives she touched.

Even in her final days, Margaret remained focused on caring for those she loved, making thoughtful and detailed decisions that would ease the burdens of her family after she was gone. That selfless spirit defined her life. Those who knew and loved Margaret will remember her as a woman of unwavering faith, remarkable strength, deep compassion, and enduring grace. Her example will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 15, at 11:00 a.m. at Saints Andrew & Matthias Anglican Church in Hastings, Michigan.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Wilder Vaughn DeGood, who departed this life on July 2, 2026, just shy of his 19th birthday. Wilder was born on July 11, 2007, in Carson City, Michigan, and spent his childhood in Belding, but later moved to Howard City, where he graduated from Tri County High School in 2025.

Wilder was an extraordinary young man whose passions and talents touched the lives of many. A lover of adventure, he enjoyed hunting for deer, elk, and bear, being on a hunt always gave him a sense of accomplishment and pride. He had a particular fondness for NASCAR, where he cheered passionately for Kyle Busch. He cherished every moment he got to spent at the racetrack. His favorite number, you ask, 28a, of course, which he and Shane owned together.

In addition to his adventurous spirit, Wilder was a creative intellect with big dreams. Transferring to Ferris State University this fall to begin classes in graphic design. He was ambitious and worked diligently toward a future in engineering technology so he could assist in developing tools to help others living with physical challenges. His generous heart shone through in all he did; whether it was tutoring fellow students or sharing a dad joke that could brighten anyone's day, Wilder's kindness will be remembered by all who knew him. With the purest soul of anyone, a true heart of gold.

Wilder is survived by his mother, Autumn DeGood and Shane Knight of Howard City and father, Scott DeGood of Greenville; siblings, Savannah (Donavan) Miley of Kalamazoo, Ryan (Alicia) Sisler from Cedar Springs, and Kollin Knight of Grant; Grandparents, Donna and John Straatsma of Morley, Ronald Prestia of Croton, Ethel DeGood of Greenville, Jim and Jan Knight of Seale, Alabama, Deb Harmon of Twin Lake, Brian and Phyllis Trumpie of Middleville, and Kathy (Pat) Bennett of Kent City; Aunts and Uncles, Angel Bennett, Troy Bennett, Ronald (Samantha) Prestia, Kevin DeGood, Danny DeGood, Tammy (Kevin) Thomas, Toni (Ali) Knight, and Casey (Ashley) Knight.

His beloved niece and nephews, who called him Uncle Wheels, Kyson, Kreed, Kinzleigh, Rowan, and nephew to be, Elias.

Wilder had a deep love for Legos and video games, which brought him joy and sparked his imagination. Following his passing, his treasured collection of Legos will be donated, providing joy to future generations and inspiring creativity in others.

Wilder is proceeded in death by his great grandparents, Guy and Patricia Prestia, grandfather Daniel DeGood, grandmother Linda Prestia, Uncle Jon DeGood, and sister Jussie DeGood.

Wilder's spirit will live on in the memories shared by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. The family will hold a memorial service in honor of his remarkable life, celebrating his achievements, humor, and the love he shared with others, on July 25 at 11am at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Lakeview, Michigan. A visitation will take place on the same day, at 10am - 11am.

As we grieve the loss of this exceptional young man, let us remember Wilder for his laughter, his compassion, and the indelible mark he left on our hearts.

Ronald Francis Stack, 85, of Blanchard formerly of Holly, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, with his family near his side. Ron was born on April 17, 1941, in Holly, Michigan, to parents Arthur T. and Anna G. (Powell) Stack. After graduating high school in 1959, he married his high school sweetheart, Dolores Ware. Ron started his career at Pontiac Truck & Coach, a General Motors plant, before working for the Oakland County Road Commission. He later joined his brother Nip at Farmer’s Petroleum, then retired from Corrigan Oil Company as a delivery fuel truck driver. Throughout his life, Ron also worked in dairy farming—a lifelong family passion he carried with him. He loved collecting antiques including hay hooks, matchboxes, and 3 tine forks from auctions and flea markets. Visiting his favorite local coffee shop, Ubele’s, was a favorite routine as well as Edmore’s McDonald’s where he enjoyed his sausage biscuit and diet Coke over by the Curtis Pond. He liked to travel up north to Mackinac Island, where he enjoyed the horse-drawn wagon rides. Ron took many cruises through the countryside visiting friends and family and always had advice to give, often saying, “If anything breaks, give me a buzz.”

Ron will be missed by his wife, Dolores Stack of Vestaburg; children: Doug (Angie) Stack of Holly, Dan Stack of Swartz Creek, Don (Lydia) Stack of Blanchard, Diane (Jeff) Scheese of Blanchard, as well as Darlene (Jake) Bigelow of Shepherd, Michigan. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and brothers: Tom (Janet) Stack of Grand Blanc, Danny (Nip) Stack of Florida, Michael Stack of Fenton, and sister Carol (Tom) Parker of California. Brother-in-law Michael (Connie) Ware of Grand Blanc, a sister-in-law Darlene Trimbath of Holly, along with many nieces, nephews and beloved pug dog, his loyal companion, Lucy also survives Ron.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws Kenneth and Mildred Ware, a sister Janie Ratledge, brother-in-law Dan Trimbath, sisters-in-law Roberta and Yvonne Stack, and nephew and niece, Kevin and Kelly Trimbath.

A funeral for Ron will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Edmore, at 1:00 p.m., with the visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Dan Palmer will officiate, and interment will follow at Richland Township Cemetery in Vestaburg. Guests are invited to a luncheon at the Richland Township Hall. Ron will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Cheryl Laverne Naffziger, age 79, of Mecosta, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026 in Mecosta, Michigan.
Born on January 7, 1947, in Alma, Michigan, Cheryl was the daughter of Ellis and Letha Hicks. She married the love of her life, Jim Naffziger, and together they shared many years of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Cheryl found her greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a true passion for gardening and took great pride in tending it. She treasured every moment spent at Blue Lake, where she could often be found relaxing on the pontoon, casting a fishing line, or simply enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. Cheryl had an infectious laugh and a wonderful sense of humor. She found joy in everyday moments and had a remarkable ability to make those around her smile. She will be remembered as a loving, caring, and kind-hearted woman whose warmth touched everyone she met.
Cheryl is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Jim Naffziger; her daughter, Jodie (Aaron) Ballow; her son, Alan Fetters; her stepson, Jason (Heather) Naffziger, her beloved grandchildren, Zachary Ballow and MacKenzie Naffziger; her sister and brother-in-law, Karen (Eugene) Pyle; her siblings, Jennifer and Katrina; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Letha Hicks, and her sister, Krystal Chapman.

Michael Smigelski, age 55, passed away on June 20, 2026.

Born on September 22, 1970, Michael was the son of Richard and Mary "Betsy" Smigelski. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Smigelski; his beloved wife, Dawn ; and his brother-in-law, Tom Ellrich.

Michael is survived by his loving mother, Mary Smigelski; his devoted partner, Samantha Bartlett; his children, Claire, Kennedy, Cass, and David; his sister, Gloria Ellrich; his brother, Pat Smigelski (Viki); his sister, Dawn Smigelski (Jason); as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Michael dedicated his career to working as a welder, where he was known for his strong work ethic, craftsmanship, and reliability. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors, finding peace in nature and the simple joys of life.

Above all, Michael was a devoted father and family man. His children were the center of his world, and he treasured every moment spent with them. He also valued the time he shared with his family and friends, creating memories that will be remembered for years to come.

Michael will be remembered for his generous heart, quiet strength, love of the outdoors, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. His legacy lives on through his children, family, and the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Surrounded by her loving family, Lucille Schiffer passed peacefully in her home on June 27, just shy of her 100th birthday.  Lucille’s was a life well-lived - as a wife, mother, friend, teacher, traveler, volunteer, master quilter, and more.  

Lucille was born in Otsego, Michigan, on September 2, 1926, to Mildred and Carl Hatfield.  The family soon moved to the Hatfield Registered Jerseys Farm in Remus, Michigan. Lucille was on her high school basketball team and also participated in 4-H, earning certificates in gardening and dairy, and certificates plus special recognition for dressmaking and scholarship money for canning.  She graduated from Michigan State College in 1947 with an BS degree in Occupational Education.  In 1948, Lucille married Pat Schiffer, her high school sweetheart.  They lived in Remus where Lucille began her teaching career.  

In 1952, when Pat became a flight instructor at an Air Force Contract School in North Carolina, the family, which now included daughters Sandra (Miller) and Nancy, moved to Grifton, N.C.  Sons Albert and Michael were born there.  The family moved to Plainwell, Michigan in 1957, where Lucille taught both Junior and then High School Home Economics, and earned her MA degree.  She was a devoted and well-liked teacher, who continued to develop new and relevant courses, including a very popular and successful occupational foods program.  In 1984, she was chosen to receive a Michigan Home Economics teacher of the year award.  

In 1986, Lucille and Pat, then Chief Flight Instructor and Assistant Professor at Western Michigan University’s College of Aviation, both retired to enjoy a life of travel and grandchildren.  When Pat died in 1993, Lucille continued her travel adventures with family and friends. Her journeys crisscrossed the entire U.S., from Newfoundland and Labrador to California and from Seattle to the Florida Keys, plus trips to Alaska, Puerto Rico, Bermuda and Paris.  The years did not stop her - at age 99, she flew to a family event in Colorado.

After 55 years in Plainwell, Lucille moved to Ovid, Michigan, to live near her sons and their families in an apartment designed by her and built onto son Michael’s home.  In both Plainwell and Ovid, Lucille was dedicated to giving back and sharing her talents.  She brought homemade pies to the Plainwell Pilot’s Club, sewed numerous quilts for the Holy Family’s Quilters group in Ovid, made her daughter’s wedding dress and her grand-daughter’s prom dress, and provided sympathy and support for family and friends in need. Lucille was a devoted volunteer at the Kalamazoo Air Zoo for 29 years and provided 14 years of essential administrative support as the Executive Secretary of the Michigan Agricultural Aviation Association – for which she received the Larsen-Miller Community Service Award at its national convention - at the age of 84!

Lucille encouraged and supported each of her four children to pursue their dreams – and then spent much time bragging about them.  She is survived by her children:  Sandy Miller (Dan), Nancy (Goldwin Smith), Albert (Kat) and Michael (Kathryn), 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  We love her dearly; she will be missed.

Burial Services will be held at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Remus, Michigan, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24.   A Memorial Mass will be held on Sunday, July 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Ovid, Michigan.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Kay Knapp, a beloved wife, mother, and caregiver, who entered her eternal rest on June 30, 2026, in Lakeview, Michigan.

Born on June 24, 1948, in Lakeview, Michigan, raised in Remus, Carol lived a life full of love, compassion, and creativity, profoundly impacting everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Carol proudly dedicated her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Pine Medical, where she embodied the essence of care and kindness, providing comfort and support to her patients. She was a source of strength for her family, always eager to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.

Alongside her professional accomplishments, Carol was a caring and nurturing wife to her devoted husband, James Knapp, and a proud mother to her cherished children, raising their children on their family farm in Amble, Bill (Jennifer) Knapp, Holly (Dan) Petersheim, Aron ( Erin) Knapp. 8 grandkids, 9 great grandkids. In addition to her professional dedication, Carol was known for her culinary talents, crafting beautiful meals for family gatherings and special occasions. She found joy in her hobbies, particularly weaving and spinning, where she expressed her artistic spirit. An avid animal lover, she took great delight in the companionship of many furry friends throughout her life. Carol's adventurous spirit led her to explore various places, creating cherished memories and stories that will forever be held close in the hearts of her loved ones. Carol's warmth, strength, and loving nature will be profoundly missed but never forgotten. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, creativity, and unwavering love.

Funeral services for Carol Kay Knapp will be held on July 7, 2026 at Christ The King, in Howard City, MI, at 11am. A visitation will take place the day before on July 6, 2026, at Janowicz Family Funeral Home, in Lakeview, MI, at 4-7pm, with a rosary at 6pm. Family and friends are invited to join us in celebrating Carol's remarkable life and the indelible mark she left on those around her. A burial service will follow, where we will lay her to rest in accordance with her wishes.

Marie Kohn, 74, of Morley, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. She was born on December 23, 1951, in Howard City, the daughter of Orville and Della (Thumser) Carey.

On November 6, 1971, she was united in marriage to Don Kohn. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and farming.

Marie loved tending to her gardens and watching her flowers bloom. She enjoyed crafting, bird watching, baking, and cooking for family and friends. She was especially known for her favorite homemade lollipops, which brought smiles to so many.

As a farmer's wife, Marie embraced the hard work of dairy farm life, always willing to lend a hand with the daily chores. She was deeply devoted to her church, treasured her family, and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend whose kindness and faith touched everyone who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Don Kohn; children, Danice Kohn (Ila Anderson) and Dennis (Charlene) Kohn; brothers, Larry and Fred Carey; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Robert, Phyllis, and Stan.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 12:00 noon at Bethel Lutheran Church in Howard City. The family will receive guests from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

She will be laid to rest at Aetna Township Cemetery in Morley.

Robert Layton Kinder (Bub), age 51, of Lakeview, MI, passed away at his home on Saturday June 27th 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Rob was born in Detroit, Michigan, on September 5, 1974, to parents Robert Earl Kinder and Janet Darlene Kinder. He was raised in Deborn Heights, MI, and Williamsburg, KY. Rob married the love of his life, Cynthia (Burguess) Kinder, on March 22, 2014. Rob had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and landscaping every year, turning his property into a work of art. He also enjoyed working with his hands in skilled carpentry work and learning new trades to improve his life. He loved to spend time with his family and always looked forward to gatherings with them. Rob loved Jesus Christ and was an active member of the Sonshine Worship Center in Lakeview. Rob will be remembered for his faith in God, as an amazing father, and as Uncle Bub to many.

His family will dearly miss Rob. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Kinder, of Lakeview, MI. Ilene “Lee” Malina, 70, of Big Rapids, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026. She was born on June 12, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of William and Evelyn (Finkel) Liberson

Lee earned her master's degree from Roosevelt University and dedicated her career to serving others as a case manager in human services. She had a compassionate heart and found fulfillment in helping others.

A devoted rock hound, Lee loved traveling in search of her next favorite rock. She also had a deep love for animals and generously volunteered her time with the Arc of Mecosta County. Music brought her great joy, and she especially enjoyed attending the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival.

For Lee, it was never just a vacation—it was always an adventure. Wherever she went, she embraced every opportunity to explore, laugh, and make lasting memories. She had a zest for life that was contagious and made every outing an experience to remember.

She is survived by her loving wife, Donna Malina; children, Karen (Paul) Nakata, David Malina, and Tim Malina; granddaughter, Adriana Norman-Malina; sister, Judith (Avi) Almog; and brother,Mark Liberson ,dear friends Kristina Caluya and Maureen Kennedy.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Lois ‘Jackie’ May Dougall, (née Patton), age 94, died June 21, 2026, at The Orchards, a care facility in Big Rapids, Michigan. She was born in Corona, California on April 30, 1932. She lived in multiple places in California, with her greatest number of school years in Calistoga before moving to Burke, Idaho in her senior year of high school, graduating in 1950 at the Wallace High School in Wallace, Idaho. She lived in various places in Idaho before moving to Stanton, Michigan in 1984, then to Reed City in 2003. Jackie worked at the White Pine District Library, the Community Mental Health, and the Montcalm County MDHHS through the Green Thumb Program in Stanton, Michigan.

Jackie enjoyed drawing and painting, sewing, crafts, baking, playing games with friends and family, and her relationship with Jehovah God. Since moving to Michigan, she attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Vestaburg and Big Rapids. Her true gift was her artistic abilities which she passed down to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Jackie was preceded in death by her mother, Edna M. Thomas-Patton, her brother, Larry, sisters, Diane and Susan, and her great-granddaughter, Findley. She is survived by her children, Shirley (Jimmy) Hoy of Post Falls, Idaho, Leroy (Cyd) Dougall of Blaine, Washington, Sharyn Miller of Reed City, Michigan; with whom she shared an exceptionally close and cherished lifelong bond, and Darlene (Fred) Taylor of Chiloquin, Oregon; ten grandchildren; Heather Parker, Tommy Parker, Derek Taylor, Jody Dwyer, Chad Taylor, Lisa Herrera, Carey Church, Katie Pedersen, Marc Church and Tarah Lawson, fifteen great-grandchildren, and her best friend, De Bristow of Entrican. Jackie will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Cremation is taking place through Pruitt-Livingston in Reed City. There are currently no plans for a service.

Amanda "Mandy" Chapman (née Forrester) returned to the earth on June 20, 2026, at the age of 91. She was born on December 11, 1934, in Coleman, Michigan, to Margaret and Harry Forrester. Amanda spent most of her life in central Michigan and attended school in Vestaburg.

Amanda's greatest joy was her family. She never turned anyone away, always had a fresh cup of coffee ready, and embraced life with a generous heart and an open door. Her home was a place of comfort, conversation, and welcome for all who crossed its threshold.

She is survived by her sister, Mable Chapman of Edmore; her daughters, Mary (Jay) Maus of Lakeview, Debbie (Duke) Bendon of Greenville, and Dawn (Jim) Allbee of Shepherd; and her sons, Wade (Judy) Chapman of Shepherd, Clay Chapman of Grand Rapids, Troy (Maryann) Chapman of Muskegon, Shon Chapman of Millbrook, Kyle Chapman of Mecosta, and Klyn (Jessica) Chapman of Eaton Rapids. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her love and presence.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Harold "Jimmy" Wright and Harry "Spike" Forrester; her son, Mark Engdahl; her daughter, Robyn Monier; and Kenneth Chapman, Newt Johnson, Lee Dyer, Kenny Johnson, and Russ Johnson. Grandchildren, Matthew, Ilene, Crystal, and Micheal, and great-grandchild, Shea.

Amanda enjoyed antiques and coin collecting, reading, watching Westerns on television, and, of course, sharing a cup of coffee. She found pleasure in simple things and treasured the stories, memories, and people who filled her life.

She came of age in a time when opportunities for girls and women were often limited, yet she forged her own path with determination, resilience, and grit. She carried a sharp sense of humor and a fire in her belly right up to the very end.

May those who loved her find peace in their sorrow. May those she touched give thanks for her life and the memories she leaves behind. And may all remember her as a woman who did the best she could with what she had, loved fiercely, welcomed freely, and lived life to the fullest.

Services for Amanda will take place Thursday, June 25, at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Lakeview. Visitation will begin at 10am, with a service at 12pm. Following the service all are welcome to join the family at Boyd Cemetery. A luncheon will take place following the interment, at Janowicz Family Funeral Home, Lakeview.

Jody Lee Gibbons, 52, of Stanton, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at his mother’s home, surrounded by family. Born January 13, 1974, to parents Phillip and Kathy (Bennett) Gibbons, Jody was a lifelong resident of Stanton and attended schools at Central Montcalm while growing up. He dedicated 30 years of his life as a Treeman, known for his reliability and hard work.

Jody was united in marriage with his beloved wife, Angel Grummet, on July 12, 2014. He was a proud father to his son, Jody Jr., daughter, Bailey, and a loving stepdad to Ashley. His greatest joy came from his grandchildren: Skylar, Aiden, Emberlynn, Hudson, Asher, and Dravenn. A passionate outdoorsman, Jody loved camping, hunting, fishing, and swimming but above all, he treasured time with his family. He truly was the life of every gathering.

Jody will be deeply missed by his mother, Kathy Hancock; wife, Angel Gibbons; children, Jody Gibbons II, Bailey (Brad) Zuidewind, Ashley West; and grandchildren, Skylar Moore, Aiden Gibbons, Emberlynn Gibbons, Hudson and Asher Zuidewind, and Dravenn West. He is also survived by brother Tracy Gibbons, half-brother Stanley Gibbons and step-brother Mark Reynolds, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Jody was preceded in death by his dad, Phillip Gibbons, stepmother, Rosemary Gibbons, stepfather, Kenneth Hancock, and his brother, Phillip Gibbons Jr.

A celebration of life will be held to honor Jody’s memory at noon on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Edmore First Church of God. Velma A. Seaman, 95, of Big Rapids, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026. She was born on July 3, 1930, at her family home in Home Township, Newaygo County, one of ten children born to the Rev. Arthur and Essie (Thomas) Cross.

On August 5, 1950, Velma was united in marriage to Glen Seaman in her father's church parsonage in Sandusky, Michigan. Eighteen months later, Glen was drafted into the United States Army and served in Germany during the Korean War. While he was overseas, Velma lived near Paris with her brother, Harry, helping care for his family while also working to support herself.

Throughout her working years, Velma was employed at Yale Rubber in Sandusky, Dibble's Department Store, Denims Manufacturing, and later retired from Mecosta County General Hospital in 1991. She also spent many years working alongside her husband, helping manage his excavation, auto repair, and body shop businesses.

A woman of deep faith, Velma faithfully attended both Grant Center Global Methodist Church and the Old Country Church. She was also a proud member of the American Legion Post 98 Ladies Auxiliary in Big Rapids.

Velma enjoyed working in her yard, tending her garden, and crocheting gifts for family and friends. She found great joy in caring for others through both her hands and her heart.

She is survived by her children, Dawn M. (Jim) VanderVelde and Ray (Barb) Seaman; grandchildren, David (Gail), Daryl (Kristen), Amy (Josh), Andrea (James), and Nathan; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Kenzie, Gabrielle, Bradley, Benjamin, Samantha, and Jonathan; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glen Seaman, on June 1, 2015; her parents; and her nine siblings, Margaret, Graham, Raymond, Herbert, Doit, Melvin, Melton, Harry, and Naomi.

Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, 11:00 A.M. at Grant Center Global Methodist Church. The family will receive guests from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. She will be laid to rest at South Grant Center Cemetery. Donal "Jim" James Dwyer IV, 76, of Reed City, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 21, 2026.  

Born on February 27, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, to Donal Dwyer III and Nida Babila, Don proudly served in the United States Army after joining in 1970. While stationed in Germany, he developed a lifelong appreciation for the Alps and the experiences he gained while serving his country.  

Don was a hardworking man who spent his life providing for his family. Over the years, he worked at several professions, including operating concrete and garbage trucks, before spending many years at Ventra. After retirement, he continued doing what he enjoyed through computer repair work.  

Known affectionally as "Papa D" by his grandchildren, Papa D would stuff their pockets with gumballs and tootsie Rolls. Don had a knack for making people smile. He was quick with a one-liner, loved making others laugh, and remained curious about the world throughout his life. He enjoyed flying with his brother John and treasured the adventures they shared together, devoted to cheering on his Detroit Lions, and in his younger years, riding motorcycles with his children and just creating memories that would last a lifetime. Above all else, Don loved his family. They were his greatest pride and joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them and never missed an opportunity to remind them how much they meant to him.  

 Don is survived by the love of his life and devoted wife, Gloria; his sons, Donnie (Jody) Dwyer and  Sam (Mari) Dwyer; his daughters, Anne (Jamie) Pontz, Angela (Eric) Rushing, and Shannon Dwyer;  his brother, John Robert Dwyer; his sister, Deborah (Bryan) Allen; 21 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Naomi Kienitz; brothers-in-law Glen (Lisa)  Kienitz; Joseph (Amy) Kienitz Jr.; Sister in law, Rita (Rick) Hickman; special friends and loved ones  Della Stiles-Ingram, Russell Dean, Susan Sims, Jennifer Jones, and Paul Williams; and many other  family members and dear friends.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donal Dwyer III and Nida Babila; his baby sister, Sandra; his sister, Kathleen; his brother, J.J. Faris; his son, Jason Dwyer; his great-grandson, Benson Drews Hamilton; and other beloved family members.  

In accordance with his wishes, Don will be cremated. A private military graveside service will be held at Woodland Cemetery in Reed City, where his ashes will be laid to rest beside his son, Jason.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  

The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, support, kindness, and friendship during this difficult time. 

Don's laughter, love, and presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him. 

Ronald Ray Fuller, 63, of Rogers Heights, passed away Monday June 22, 2026.

Ron was born October 12, 1962, the son of Eber and Sarah Fuller. He owned the Heights Garage in Rogers Heights and loved the work he did. He was also a landlord and a part of Archery Club. Ron enjoyed everything outdoors including fishing, hunting, boating, and camping. He also enjoyed bowling and shooting pool. Ron was a fun, strong-willed, supportive mentor who will be deeply missed.

Ron is survived by: his wife, Marie Shook; children, Samuel Green, Ronald “runny” Fuller (Alexis Schaljo), Silas Fuller; grandchildren, Dahlia, Katalina, and Alexander; brothers, Steve (Dawn) Fuller, Terry (Koni) Fuller; step-father, Dale Cramer; and several nieces and nephews.

Sharon Carol Hines, age 77 of Reed City, MI, passed away quietly at her residence on Friday, June 19, 2026.

She was born February 12, 1949, in Trout Lake, MI, to George R and Marjorie May (Beaudoin) Underhill.  On January 29, 1968, she was married to Robert James Hines who survives her.  She was a loving wife and working mother of three.

She is survived by her husband; her children: Shannon and Teresa Underhill, Robert Hines Jr., and Lorraine Russell; grandchildren: Jennifer Wright, Nichole Glazier, Danielle (Nate) Kailing, Heather (Zach) Dane, Samantha Sulka, Elijah Gunn, Jerrid Gunn, Bo Mower, Tia Mower, and Zach Mower; great-grandchildren: Eva, Peighton, Nolan, Sarah, Theo, Lenora, Rhett, Ayla, Katie and Melody, Sophie, Demetre, Octavia, Maddie, and Jordan; six sisters and one brother.  She was preceded in death by her parents George and Marjorie Underhill.

A visitation with the family will take place from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the Pruitt-Livingston Funeral Home in Reed City.  A graveside service will follow at the Pinora #2 Cemetery in Osceola County.

Robert S. Bianchi, 70, of Big Rapids, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026. He was born on November 20, 1955, in Grand Rapids, the son of Romulus and Janice (Tolly) Bianchi.

Rob was proud of his Italian heritage. His grandparents immigrated from Italy, and his grandfather founded the family business, National Plating, in Grand Rapids, where many members of the Bianchi family worked over the years.

Throughout his career, Rob worked for the Kent County Road Commission, Reynolds Metals in Grand Rapids, and later as a crane operator at Ogden Martin. Known for his strong work ethic, he took pride in every job he held.

Rob was also an exceptional cook, a skill he learned from his father and uncle. He loved grilling and preparing meals for family and friends and became especially well known for his delicious Chicken Cacciatore, among many other favorite dishes.

In his spare time, Rob loved tinkering in the garage and working on motors. If it was fast—whether a car, motorcycle, or boat—he was always eager to take it for a spin. He also had a deep love for animals, especially his cats, whom he adored.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Trisha (Scott) Schumacher, Ryan Bianchi, Savanna Woodson, Megan (Kevin) Buyze, and Erin Wilcoxson; grandchildren, Brandon, Colton, Beth, Brooke, Ayden, and Taryn; along with numerous other family members and friends.

He is also survived by his life partner, Brenda Obert-Pereira, and his beloved cat, Rosie, who was truly his number one girl.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 1-4:00 P.M. at the Mecosta Township Hall, 19729 11 Mile Road, Big Rapids, Michigan, 49307.

Jeanette Lorraine Wick, age 94 of Evart, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ,with her husband at her side, on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Jeanette was born in Ferndale, on February 10, 1932 in Detroit to Herbert and Mildred (Hazen) Rapson. In 1949 she graduated from Northville High School and married Frederick D. Wick on October 21, 1950 in Northville. In later years, they moved to Bridgeport and upon retirement in 1987, made their cabin in Wildlife Shores, on the Muskegon River in Evart, their permanent residence.

Jeanette was always a devoted wife and homemaker who looked forward to cooking, canning, sewing, crocheting and needlework. Jeanette and Fred enjoyed many trips camping and cruises. They traveled abroad and throughout the United States. 

Jeanette is survived by her beloved husband of 75 1/2 years, Fred; children, Kathryn (Rick) Wright of Mason and Gerald "Jerry" (Rose) Wick of Leander, Texas; Two grandchildren, Elizabeth (Joseph) Nunez and Alexis Prince; great-grandson, Damian Prince; brother-in-law, Jim Wick; sister-in-law, Shirley Mapes and many extended family and friends.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Gladys (Charles) Flory and Martha Jean Willoughby.

Funeral Services will be held at Noon on Saturday, June 27th at Faith Bible Church, Sylvan Twp., 10737 30th Avenue, Evart, with Pastor Tim Ford officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services at the church from 11AM to 12PM. Jeanette will be laid to rest at Sylvan Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name can be made to Faith Bible Church or Osceola County Commission on Aging-Meals on Wheels. 

John Ernest Proctor III, age 72 of Evart, MI, passed away suddenly on Tuesday morning, June 16, 2026, at the Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI.

He is survived by his wife; two children and their families; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will take place at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Pruitt-Livingston Funeral Home in Reed City with Rev. Gary Foxx officiating.  Visitation with the family will begin at 11:00 A.M.  Burial and committal services will follow the conclusion of the funeral service at the Maple Valley Cemetery in Hartwick Twp., Osceola County, MI.

A luncheon will be held after graveside services at the Tustin Covenant Church in Tustin, MI.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Tustin Covenant Church.
